Giants | Should feel confident about chances in SB

New England Patriots DL Vince Wilfork said the New York Giants should feel confident heading into Super Bowl XLVI. "They should feel like they are the team to beat because they are playing some good football," Wilfork said. "They probably are playing the best football that is out there. You can't say anything negative toward what they have going on. They talk the talk and walk the walk."

The New England Patriots, head coach Bill Belichick and assistant coach Matt Patricia changed their 3-4 defense around a bit during the Week 15 game against the Denver Broncos. "I think you can get into a lot of technical aspects of defense and strategy and all that, but we played plenty of four-man line, we played plenty of three-man line," Belichick said. "We used them both at different times for different reasons. In the end, it comes back to the players – beating blocks, making tackles, hitting the quarterback, covering the receivers. I think there's a lot more to that than there is to odd or even." The Pats set the edge with bigger players like DLs Vince Wilfork and Brandon Deaderick.

New England Patriots DL Vince Wilfork is unhappy with NBC commentator, and former teammate, Rodney Harrison for his criticism of the Patriots pass defense, saying they might be the worst in at least a decade. Wilfork said he would like to call the author of the comment. "I want to. I want to do it all the time and tell them to shut the 'f' up. But everybody has a job to do," Wilfork said. "You have to respect their job. People have opinions. It's just an opinion. If that's how they feel, that's who they feel. The only thing we can control is this locker room."

New England Patriots DL Vince Wilfork entered the season with no interceptions in his first seven NFL campaigns. However, he has two picks in his past three games, including an interception in Week 4 against the Oakland Raiders. "It doesn't surprise me, if he gets his hands on it," head coach Bill Belichick said. "I mean, I'm not saying every day, but we've seen him catch a ball out of there. If he gets his hands on it, he's like a vacuum cleaner. He pulls it right in."
