The Pioneer Press reports Minnesota Vikings DE Kenechi Udeze was on the field for the team's practice Thursday, May 21. Head coach Brad Childress said Udeze was not limited this week and that the team tried to treat him the same as any other player.

Sid Hartman, of the Star Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings DE Kenechi Udeze said the team is planning to ease him into offseason workouts. Udeze said, "That's the plan. I don't know exactly what they're going to have me doing, because they kind of want to ease me into this offseason minicamp schedule. Whatever they throw me into, I think I'll be capable of doing."

Rick Alonzo, of the Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings DL Kenechi Udeze said Monday, Jan. 26, he plans to participate in the team's offseason program. He didn't indicate exactly when he would join the team, but he was optimistic that he would be able to participate in minicamps. Udeze acknowledged that he still has more work ahead of him after battling leukemia, but he is focused on playing in 2009.

Sean Jensen, of the Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings DL Kenechi Udeze (illness), who is battling leukemia, said he will return to play next season. "You know what? I'll be back next year," Udeze said. "The one thing that's slowing me down are my feet. They're slow to a lot of the treatment. But everything is going to be just fine. I don't see myself not being a part of this team next year."
