The collective bargaining agreement states players on the non-football injury list are not entitled to their salary while on the list. Peters could lose at least $3.25 million of his 2012 salary because that is the amount they will be paying OT Demetress Bell to take his spot. The team has talked about the possibility of reducing the salary with Peters and his agent but likely will not reduce his salary.

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles OT Jason Peters (Achilles') has a ruptured tendon in his right leg, suffering while training in Texas. He will have surgery Tuesday, April 3. The team has not yet ruled Peters out for the entire season, and more will be known once the surgery is completed. Peters is likely to land on the Physically-Unable-to-Perform (PUP) list to start the season. After Week 6, he would be eligible to practice without counting against the 53-man roster.
