Washington Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall said he is fine with re-signing for a lower salary after being released this offseason because he wants to stay with the team. "I've been in this league a long time, I've made a lot of money – I got $8 million to play eight games in Oakland. So for me this time around it wasn't about the money. We started something here in Washington with [head coach Mike Shanahan]," Hall said.

Washington Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall (pinkie) underwent surgery to a fractured pinkie finger. He had ligament damage repaired and pins placed in the finger. He expected to have the pins removed in two to three weeks and will wear a splint for around a month before beginning his rehab.

Washington Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall said head linesman Dana McKenzie is equally to blame for an incident in Week 8 that led to Hall's ejection. Hall is scheduled to meet with commissioner Roger Goodell and could possibly be suspended for the altercation. "From that particular camera angle you can't see what that ref's saying to me. So it looks like I'm just out there giving him a piece of my mind and he's smiling and walks away. And that's not the case at all. He's dishing it out just as much as I'm dishing it out," Hall said. The cornerback added he wants to meet with Goodell "to tell our side of the story, just like them." He said he's trying to get copies of different camera angles of the incident "so you can see both sides."

"He doesn't take as many chances as much as he just gets confused some times," Hall says. "A lot of times he just comes out and stares a receiver down, tries to throw him the ball.
