Mike Reiss, of the Boston Globe, reports the New England Patriots will be responsible for unamortized portion of deseased DL Marquise Hill's signing bonus which would be $460,000. The Patriots are also responsible for the per diem Hill would have made during offseason workouts. The total per diem would have been $6,720. Hill would have a $466,720 salary cap charge in 2007, but the Patriots may be able to spread the payment over two years. The Patriots and the NFL have not made a decision on the matter yet.

The Associated Press reports about $16,000 worth of belongings was reported stolen from the home of former New England Patriots DL Marquise Hill's mother while she was at the funeral for her son, according to police. No suspects have been identified. New Orleans Police Department spokesman Garry Flot said a laptop and a television were among the stolen items.

Mike Reiss, of the Boston Globe, reports New England Patriots DL Marquise Hill accidentally drowned, according to the Associated Press. An autopsy showed no trace of drugs or alcohol in Hill's body at the time of death, but more tests are scheduled to be done in the next few weeks.

April Simpson and Michael Levenson, of the Boston Globe, report New England Patriots DL Marquise Hill was not wearing a life jacket at the time of his jet ski accident over the weekend. "If he had been wearing a life jacket, this probably would have been prevented," said Brian Clark of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. "No doubt. This is one case where we could have guaranteed that a life jacket would have saved his life."

Updating a previous report, ESPNews reports a search team has recovered the body of New England Patriots DL Marquise Hill. Hill had been missing since Sunday, May 27, after a jet ski accident. KFFL send its condolences to Hill's family and friends.

ESPN.com reports the Coast Guard is searching for New England Patriots DL Marquise Hill in Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana, after Hill fell off a jet ski with a woman, according to WWL Radio in New Orleans. Coast Guard Petty Officer Thomas Atkeson told the radio station that rescuers have found the woman. "I have hope. He's a strong kid," Hill's agent, Albert Elias, told the radio station.
