Philadelphia Phillies SP Vance Worley's ERA dropped by 0.17 and 2B Mike Fontenot was charged with another error when Major League Baseball made a scoring change Wednesday, June 13, for the June 10 game against the Baltimore Orioles. Fontenot was charged with an error on a third-inning grounder hit to him by Orioles OF Endy Chavez, which took away another earned run from Worley.

The Philadelphia Phillies plan to use 2B Mike Fontenot at second base, shortstop, and third base. "He can hit some," Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said. "He swings the bat well. We'll try to work him in, get him comfortable, and see where we go from there."

The Philadelphia Phillies signed free-agent 2B Mike Fontenot (Giants) to a minor league deal Friday, April 13. He will report to Single-A Clearwater for extended spring training, and he'll likely eventually move to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
