Updating previous reports, Eric Mangini, former head coach of the Cleveland Browns, is a candidate for the Tennessee Titans' defensive coordinator position, reports Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean. However, the two sides have not discussed a contract thus far. It appears the Titans will take their time to make a decision. Head coach Jeff Fisher, according to sources, is expected to talk to a number of candidates during the coming week. Jim Mora Jr., Clancy Pendergast (University of California), and Gregg Williams (currently with the New Orleans Saints) could be options, or the team could look to promote assistant head coach Dave McGinnis to defensive coordinator. There is also a situation that could see Fisher handling the defensive play calling himself.
