Updating previous reports, Bart Hubbuch, of the Florida Times-Union, reports Jacksonville Jaguars RB Elvis Joseph (leg) may play in Thursday's, Aug. 28, game against the Washington Redskins. Joseph has yet to play this preseason.

Bart Hubbuch, of the Florida Times-Union reports Jacksonville Jaguars rookie RBs LaBrandon Toefield and Joe Smith have overshadowed RB Elvis Joseph, who has missed more than two weeks with a hamstring injury. Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio said he would be willing to go into the season with two first-year backups.

Bart Hubbuch, of the Florida Times-Union reports Jacksonville Jaguars RB Elvis Joseph (hamstring), considered the early favorite to replace former Jaguars RB Stacey Mack as RB Fred Taylor's backup, has missed more than two weeks with a hamstring injury that shows little sign of improvement. The injury also isn't doing much for Joseph's chances of making the final roster, Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio said Monday, Aug. 18. Asked if Joseph could be cut because of his inactivity, Del Rio said: "Yes, and we'll just have to address that if and when he ever gets back."
