Miami Marlins 1B Logan Morrison (knee) could be reinstated from the 60-day disabled list Monday, June 10, when the team begins a three-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers. He has played in 15 minor league rehab games and collected 55 at-bats.
Fantasy Tip: Morrison will become the regular starter at first base once he returns from the DL, meaning that Casey Kotchman will return to a reserve role. Morrison could be worth a flier in deep NL-only leagues.

Miami Marlins OF Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring), 2B Donovan Solano (intercostal) and 1B Joe Mahoney (hamstring) had their rehab games rained out the past two days, but all three are on track to return from their disabled list stints Monday, June 10.
Fantasy Tip: Stanton and Solano will return to starting duties, but Mahoney will likely serve as the backup to Casey Kotchman at first base. Marcell Ozuna's hot bat should keep him in the everyday lineup even with the return of Stanton. A platoon in left field between Juan Pierre and Justin Ruggiano could be in order.

Miami Marlins manager Mike Redmond said 1B Casey Kotchman will be the team's primary first baseman, and 3B Greg Dobbs will return to a bench role.
Fantasy Tip: The light-hitting Kotchman isn't very attractive in mixed formats, but he could be useful for those playing in NL leagues. Logan Morrison (knee) may be returning soon, too, making Kotchman a short-term option.

The Miami Marlins activated 1B Casey Kotchman (hamstring) from the 60-day disabled list Sunday, June 2.
Fantasy Tip: Kotchman is a nice veteran presence for the young Marlins, but he is way more valuable to his real team than to fantasy owners. He should only be added in deeper NL-only formats and those leagues where you are absolutely desperate for corner infielder assistance.

Miami Marlins 1B Casey Kotchman (hamstring) has been running and is close to going on a rehab assignment in the next few days. 1B Logan Morrison (knee) played first base for five innings in extended spring training Tuesday, May 14.
Fantasy Tip: Kotchman is expected to return before Morrison, and Kotchman should become the every day first baseman until Morrison makes his way back. Morrison doesn't have many at-bats in extended spring training right now, so he'll likely spend at least another 20 days getting up to speed. Morrison is a mixed league commodity if he's healthy, but there's no guarantee that the power he displayed before his knee injury will come back full bore.

Miami Marlins 1B Logan Morrison (knee) has been serving as the designated hitter in extended spring training, and he'll start playing first base in games next week. 1B Casey Kotchman (hamstring) should begin a rehab assignment next week.
Fantasy Tip: Greg Dobbs has been playing first base regularly with Morrison, Kotchman and Joe Mahoney (hamstring) all sidelined. Kotchman should be back before Morrison or Mahoney, which will push Dobbs back into a utility role. Morrison is the best fantasy option of this group, but his recovery from serious knee surgery clouds his production and power potential whenever he returns. He's probably not worth a roster spot in mixed leagues until he returns from the DL.
