Wed, 17 Jan 2007 06:47:14 -0800 Michael Eisen, of Giants.com, reports New York Giants new Senior Vice President and General Manager Jerry Reese explained that working with two of the club's previous general managers, the late George Young and recently retired Ernie Accorsi, respectively, has formed his style as a talent evaluator and personnel official. "George was the kind of sit-and-wait and just stand pat with your hand, whatever you had in the draft," Reese explained. "He would take what was there, and he thought that was the way to do it. Ernie's style was a little bit different, and I took something from both styles. Ernie believes if you see a guy on the board and you want him, you go get him."

He will continue to serve as a consultant for NFL Europe. Beake has held the position since 2002, when he replaced the late George Young. Before that he served as the general manager of the Denver Broncos for 14 seasons.
