The Akron Beacon Journal reports former NFL OL Rayfield Wright has chosen L. J. "Stan" Lomax as his presenter for his Hall of Fame induction Aug. 5. Lomax was his former college coach at Fort Valley State College.

The Canton Repository reports tickets for the AFC-NFC Hall of Fame Game between the Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles Aug. 6 at Fawcett Stadium have sold out. Although a sellout for the enshrinement ceremony is anticipated, a limited number of tickets remain available. The Class of 2006 is composed of QB Troy Aikman, LB Harry Carson, head coach John Madden, QB Warren Moon, DE Reggie White and OL Rayfield Wright.

The NFL Network reports former Dallas Cowboys OT Rayfield Wright has been elected to the 2006 Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Associated Press reports former Dallas Cowboys QB Troy Aikman and former NFL DE Reggie White have been chosen for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Other finalists include RB Thurman Thomas, QB Warren Moon, LB Derrick Thomas, LB Harry Carson, DE L.C. Greenwood, DE Claude Humphrey, OL Russ Grimm, OL Bob Kuechenberg, OL Gary Zimmerman, WR Michael Irvin, WR Art Monk, OT Rayfield Wright and coach/broadcaster John Madden. A 39-member panel will vote on the finalists. Candidates must get 80 percent of the vote to be elected with a minimum of three and a maximum of six getting in. Results of the voting will be announced Feb. 4.

The Associated Press reports former Dallas Cowboys QB Troy Aikman and DE Reggie White head a list of 25 semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The class of 2006 will be determined at the selection committee's annual meeting Feb. 4 in Detroit, the day before the Super Bowl. The list has narrowed from 112 to 25. The list of 25 will be reduced by mail ballot to 13 modern-era candidates. The list will increase to 15 finalist nominees with the inclusion of the two recommended candidates of the hall's seniors committee - this year's candidates are former Oakland Raiders head coach John Madden, and former Dallas Cowboys OT Rayfield Wright.

Nick Eatman, of DallasCowboys.com, reports the Dallas Cowboys will induct former OL Rayfield Wright into its Ring of Honor at Texas Stadium during halftime of the Sunday, Oct. 10, game against the New York Giants. Wright will become the first offensive lineman inducted into the Ring of Honor.
