Cliff Christl, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers DT Donnell Washington practiced at minicamp Friday, May 19, but he still appears to be out of shape. Washington was held out of the team's first minicamp for not meeting conditioning requirements. In agility drills at the start of the Friday morning practice, Washington worked at a slower speed than the other defensive tackles, but Washington had the most power on a sled drill. He said after practice that he had benched press 500 pounds a year ago and probably could do 510 right now. He said he has lost seven pounds since the first minicamp and is down to 338 pounds on his 6-foot-6 frame.

General manager Ted Thompson said, "We're saying we didn't think he was ready to go through a camp. We expect him to get in better condition and get ready to compete. He was here some in the offseason but hasn't made very much progress."

Rob Demovsky, of PackersNews.com, reports Green Bay Packers DT Donnell Washington has already landed in first-year head coach Mike McCarthy's doghouse. Washington was held out of minicamp practices Saturday, May 6, because the team was unhappy with his conditioning. He missed all of his rookie season, including the preseason games, due to a foot injury he sustained early in training camp. Last year, he was unimpressive during the preseason but made the 53-man roster. He was inactive for 15 of the 16 games.
