McCown will undergo an MRI to determine the seriousness of the injury and was wearing a brace on the knee after the game. He tore the ACL in that knee in 2006, but it isn't likely the injury is the same because he was able to walk off under his own power.

Rumblings of a quarterback controversy, though a bit premature, surfaced again for the Jacksonville Jaguars, reports Tania Ganguli, of The Florida Times-Union. Backup QB Luke McCown tossed three touchdowns after replacing starting QB David Garrard in the team's first preseason game. McCown kept his performance in perspective, saying nobody is going to be named the starter off of one preseason game. "It's just how it is," Garrard said of the talk. "Especially when Luke has an amazing game like he did. ... You're going to have rumbles."
