The Savannah Morning News, citing the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports former Atlanta Falcons OL Michael Thompson was arrested and charged with three counts of armed robbery in Suwannee, Ga. Monday, Aug. 29. According to a police report, Thompson robbed three guests of the Admiral Benbow Inn at gunpoint.

Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports Seattle Seahawks OT Michael Thompson, whom the Miami Dolphins considered trading for during the off-season, is in danger of being cut by the Seahawks, making him of possible interest to the Dolphins. Thompson, third on the depth chart behind Seahawks OTs Floyd Womack and rookie Wayne Hunter, has suffered knee and asthma problems during practices.

The Tacoma News Tribune reports Seattle Seahawks OT Michael Thompson (asthma) suffered an asthma attack at practice on Monday, Aug. 18, and had to be carted off the field. He is expected to be fine.

Updating previous reports, Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports Seattle Seahawks OT Michael Thompson (knee) made a statement to his teammates. After going down with a knee injury on Tuesday, June 3, Thompson played through the injury in Wednesday's practice, June 4. Thompson suffers from an arthritic knee. "I don't have all the lubrication in my joint that I should have and I know this, so when I go down, I feel like I have to be out there and help my team," he said. "This being a minicamp, coaches might want to hold me out, but I feel like I have something to prove."

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports restricted free agent OT Michael Thompson (Falcons) visited the Seattle Seahawks and passed a physical, according to Thompson's agent, Harold Lewis. Thompson failed a physical days before with the Miami Dolphins that nixed a trade to Miami. The Dolphins were worried about Thompson's knee.

Updating a previous story, Michael Cunningham, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports the Harold Lewis, the agent for OT Michael Thompson, said his client has never had a knee problem and passed a physical earlier this year with his current team, the Atlanta Falcons. Earlier this week, the Dolphins nixed a trade with the Falcons for Thompson because Miami claimed Thompson's knee did not pass the physical.

Updating an earlier story, Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports the trade between the Miami Dolphins and the Atlanta Falcons that would have sent OT Michael Thompson from the Falcons to Miami for a 2004 draft pick was canceled Thursday. Thompson has failed the Dolphinsí physical due to a knee problem.

The pick could become a fifth-round pick if Thompson plays in 50 percent of the downs this season. If Thompson passes a physical, the trade will be finalized and Thompson will sign a two-year, $1.4 million contract with a $150,000 signing bonus. Thompson is expected to provide the Dolphins depth at LT.

OT Michael Thompson (asthma condition) returned to practice Thursday after spending time in the hospital on Wednesday because he fainted during workouts. DE Brady Smith (abdominal muscle) missed Thursday's practice and was downgraded to doubtful. OT Ephraim Salaam (ankle sprain) is expected to start at right tackle this weekend. He was upgraded to probable today.

He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and preliminary indications are that he's fine. He's listed as questionable for this weekend's game. CB Elijah Williams (ankle) didn't practice on Wednesday and is doubtful. OT Ephraim Salaam (ankle sprain) practiced today. DE Brady Smith (abdominal muscle strain) aggravated his abdominal injury over the weekend; he was able to practice today as was S Ronnie Bradford (ankle).

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Reeves said S Ronnie Bradford likely would not play after having knee surgery last week. He has been practicing all week and earlier reports said he might play. Bradford and OT Michael Thompson are the only players expected out Sunday. Bradford's injury likely means rookie S Corey Hall will be active Sunday.

S Ronnie Bradford (knee) and G Bob Hallen (back) both practiced on Thursday and Hallen was upgraded to probable, while Bradford was upgraded to questionable. AtlantaFalcons.com reports Atlanta Falcons LB Artie Ulmer (groin) continued to participate in practice on Wednesday. LB Chris Draft (toe), listed as probable, also practiced. S Ronnie Bradford (knee), who underwent arthroscopic knee surgery a little over a week ago, also practiced and could be upgraded from doubtful if he continues to practice with no problems. It was originally thought that he could miss as much as 3 weeks of action. DT Shane Dronett (ankle) and G Bob Hallen (back) also practiced on Wednesday. T Michael Thompson (foot) injured his foot while on a treadmill over the weekend. He missed practice and is doubtful for this weekend's game.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports Atlanta Falcons T Michael Thompson will get the start against Tampa Bay, his second in a row. However, offensive line coach Pete Mangurian said the starting job is not settled between Thompson and Travis Claridge, who started the first two pre-season games. Mangurian said both will likely play a lot in the regular season regardless of who starts.
