Bart Hubbuch, of the Florida Times-Union, reports for The Sporting News that the Jacksonville Jaguars could focus on Utah OT Jordan Gross in the draft. The team's offensive line depth has been depleted with the loss of three starters (G/T Zach Pillars, C John Wade and OT Todd Fordham) via free agency and the release of two backup guards (Derrick Chambers and Aaron Koch).

The Jacksonville Jaguars have not given a tender offer to OL Aaron Koch (knee), who is a restricted free agent. Instead, the team has reached an agreement in principal on a new deal that will allow Koch to return.

Jaguars.com reports the Jacksonville Jaguars have placed, as expected, OL Aaron Koch and Chris Ziemann on injured reserve. Both tore their ACLs during spring practices.

The Florida Times-Union reports two injured Jacksonville Jaguars players will impact the team's 2002 salary cap. OL Chris Ziemann and Aaron Koch will both miss the season with knee injuries. Ziemann had a split contract reducing his salary from $300,000 to $145,000 if he's not on the active roster. Counting his $15,000 signing bonus, he'll count $160,000 on the Jaguars cap. Koch didn't have a split contract so he'll cost them his entire base salary of $375,000. He also had a $4,050 workout bonus. Both appear to be headed to the IR list.

Bart Hubbuch reports for the Florida Times-Union that Cs Brad Meester, who was recently moved from left guard, and John Wade had problems with poor snaps and communication Saturday. Head coach Tom Coughlin said he will work with Meester and Wade had no problems with third team C Aaron Koch. Coughlin and Meester are still confident that Meester can be the starting center, but Coughlin wants to be sure rookie Mike Pearson can start at left tackle before making anything official.
