Updating a previous report, the Associated Press reports retired NFL QB Jason White (knee) ended his professional career, citing weak knees. "I always had trouble, even in the summer, dropping back when practice wasn't every day," White said. "Now that practice was every day it got to the point where one of my knees was super sore, so I started favoring it with the other one. Then the other one started hurting. I took a couple of days off this week and it hasn't really changed." White said that he plans to return home to Tuttle, Okla., and plans to pursue jobs as a football coach next week.

TitansOnline.com reports Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher says the coaching staff now as a better feel for the abilities of the team's rookie quarterbacks following the conclusion of organized team activities Thursday, June 23. "We have a better feel of what they're able to do," Fisher said. "I think once the pads go on and we give them some more opportunities at camp we will be able to separate them even more." The Titans' rookie quarterbacks are QBs Shane Boyd, Gino Guidugli, Jason White and CB/QB Marcus Randall.

Jessica Hopp, of the Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans quarterbacks coach Craig Johnson also said that it is a possibility that none of the rookie quarterbacks - Shane Boyd, Gino Guidugli, Jason White and Marcus Randall - would make the final roster.

Tennessee Titans undrafted free agent QB Jason White believes he has a very good shot to make the Titans' roster this season as a third-string quarterback, reports Jeff Latzke of the Associated Press. "It's a great opportunity for me," White said. "They're willing to give me a shot and I think it's a legitimate shot."

Updating a previous report, the Baltimore Sun reports undrafted rookie free agent QB Jason White (Oklahoma) agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the Tennessee Titans. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal is contigent on White making the team and passing a physical.

The Associated Press reports the Tennessee Titans have signed undrafted rookie free agent QB Jason White (Oklahoma) to an undisclosed contract. The 2003 Heisman Trophy winner wasn't offered a contract after going through a three-day rookie camp with Kansas City last week.

The Kansas City Star reports the Kansas City Chiefs have decided not to offer a contract to undrafted rookie free agent QB Jason White after the completion of the team's weekend minicamp. HC Dick Vermeil told the 2003 Heisman Trophy winner to consider the Arena League. Chiefs president/general manager Carl Peterson said he'd be willing to give other NFL teams film on White's weekend if they're interested in looking at White.
