Cardinals | Quiet night for Larry Fitzgerald

Sun, 24 Jan 2016 20:08:44 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald finished with four catches for 30 yards in a 49-15 loss to the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Championship Game Sunday, Jan. 24.

Fantasy Tip: His season ended on a down note, but Fitzgerald showed he still has some juice left with his performance in 2015. Arizona has plenty of young receivers waiting to shine, but Fitzgerald should still be a strong WR3 in 2016 and potentially a WR2.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald excelled in slot

Thu, 21 Jan 2016 16:07:07 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald lined up for 505 plays out of the slot receiver position this year and had 53 catches for 626 yards. Carolina Panthers CB Josh Norman isn't expected to cover him in the NFC Championship.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($8,300, 16.6% of cap) can do it all, and he steps up even more in the postseason. See his phenomenal late-game performance in the divisional round. He had a big game against the Green Bay Packers and could follow that up with another strong showing against a tough Panthers defense. He's worth the price.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald looks to stay hot

Wed, 20 Jan 2016 19:15:12 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald posted eight receptions for 176 yards and a 75-yard game-winning touchdown in overtime last week against the Green Bay Packers. Now, he will meet the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Championship Game Sunday, Jan. 24, for a chance at a second-career Super Bowl appearance.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($8,300, 16.6% of cap) is a man on a mission, and he could be a great FantasyScore play against a Carolina pass defense which ranked 11th in the regular season while allowing 53 pass plays of 20 or more yards, and 10 pass plays of 40 or more yards while yielding 21 touchdowns through the air.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald has nice matchup

Tue, 19 Jan 2016 13:33:19 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald is expected to be covered by Carolina Panthers CB Cortland Finnegan in the NFC Championship game this weekend.

Fantasy Tip: Fitz already has 10 playoff touchdowns in only eight games, and he took over the game by himself in the divisional round against the Green Bay Packers. Even against a tough Panthers defense, Fitzgerald should put up nice numbers against a struggling Finnegan.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald sets postseason record

Tue, 19 Jan 2016 11:32:04 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald became the fastest player ever to reach 10 postseason receiving touchdowns. It took Fitzgerald eight games to accomplish the feat, and only six other players have caught as many touchdowns in the postseason.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald hasn't lost a beat in the playoffs after one of the best regular seasons of his career. If Carson Palmer and Fitzgerald return and stay healthy next season, who's to say Fitz can't have another WR1 season? He should be considered as such, specifically in PPR leagues, next season.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald torches Packers

Sat, 16 Jan 2016 20:52:37 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald had eight catches for 176 yards and a touchdown in a 26-20 win over the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round of the playoffs Saturday, Jan. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald has a history of delivering in the postseason, and he didn't disappoint. He will deserve a long look at FantasyScore in the conference title game.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald excels in playoffs

Thu, 14 Jan 2016 15:43:46 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald leads all NFL receivers in history with at least five postseason games with an average of 105.1 receiving yards per game.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) is definitely a strong daily choice this weekend against a Green Bay Packers secondary that can be beaten, especially if Sam Shields (concussion) sits out.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald probable

Fri, 01 Jan 2016 17:59:24 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 1, and is listed as probable for the Week 17 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) has been a bit quiet over the last few weeks but still has caught five passes in six of his last eight games and has been targeted at least five times in every game. Fitzgerald will be facing a tough Seahawks defense but could still be a decent starting option.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald limited in practice

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 18:36:51 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) had 10 catches for 130 yards against the Seahawks earlier this year, but he hasn't topped 100 yards in his last six and has been held under 50 in three straight. Given his high price tag at FantasyScore, you may want to explore other options.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald listed as limited

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 17:23:39 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) should be fine as long as he does not suffer a setback over the next few days. Fitzgerald will be dealing with a tough matchup this week with the Seattle Seahawks but could still be a solid starting option in most leagues.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald ties franchise record

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 20:27:03 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald posted four receptions for 29 yards and a touchdown in the Week 16 game against the Green Bay Packers. He now has 103 receptions on the season, tying the franchise mark he set in 2005. He also has at least one catch in 178 straight games, longest streak in the NFL.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald's visit to the end zone was his first since Week 8 against the Cleveland Browns. He has been a fantasy stud in a renaissance season.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald quiet in victory

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 21:11:19 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald posted three grabs for 43 yards in the Week 15 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was targeted five times.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald contributed in other areas of the offense, including a key block on a rushing touchdown, but unfortunately fantasy owners do not benefit from type of non-statistical contributions. Still, he has more than earned his status as WR2 or flex option in all fantasy formats.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald active for SNF

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 16:25:50 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) was active for the Week 15 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald could have a big game in what is expected to be a high-scoring battle against the Eagles.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald will play

Fri, 18 Dec 2015 15:54:43 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 18, and is probable for Week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Tip: Fitz ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) and Carson Palmer are licking their chops in this primetime matchup against a lousy Philly secondary. Not only is the matchup great, but Fitzgerald has scored in all of his career games against the Eagles. Pay up for him in Week 15 on FantasyScore.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald limited

Thu, 17 Dec 2015 16:07:32 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Despite being limited two days in a row, Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) should still play this weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have been one of the worst fantasy defenses against wide receivers this year, so Fitzgerald should be viewed as a WR1 in PPR formats this week.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald owns Philly

Wed, 16 Dec 2015 16:30:28 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald has 47 catches for 802 yards and 11 touchdowns in seven career games against the Philadelphia Eagles, who he faces in Week 15. Fitzgerald is likely to be matched up against Eagles slot CB Malcolm Jenkins Sunday, Dec. 20. Fitzgerald has found the end zone in all seven games against Philadelphia. Jenkins is a safety that has been converted to cornerback this season.

Fantasy Tip: Fitz ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) is too good to pass up on FantasyScore this weekend, and it's smart to pair him with Carson Palmer ($8,600, 17.2% of cap). The Eagles should do their best to allow Fitz to score again; they've allowed the most PPR fantasy points (43.6) to receivers per game all season long.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald limited

Wed, 16 Dec 2015 16:11:43 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) may be limited during practice during the week but should be able to play against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15. He has caught at least five passes in each of his last six games and should be a starting option in most leagues.

Cardinals | Three AZ WRs probable for Week 14

Wed, 09 Dec 2015 13:20:59 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WRs Larry Fitzgerald (ankle), John Brown (hamstring) and Michael Floyd participated fully in practice Wednesday, Dec. 9, and are listed as probable for Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: The Minnesota Vikings, Arizona's opponent this week, have been pretty average defensively against wide receivers this year, but the Cardinals have one of the most prolific passing attacks in football. Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8% of cap), Floyd ($6,000, 12.0%) and Brown ($5,100, 10.2%) each did well last week, but Fitzgerald is the most consistent of the three.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald youngest to 1,000 catches

Tue, 08 Dec 2015 16:16:13 -0800

Updating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald became the youngest player in NFL history to achieve 1,000 catches at 32 years and 97 days old.

Fantasy Tip: This has been one of the most consistent seasons of Fitzgerald's ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) career. In all but one game he has caught at least five passes for at least 55 yards. He's a good play in PPR scoring formats like FantasyScore no matter who the opponent, including this week against the Minnesota Vikings.

Cardinals | Three AZ wide receivers limited

Tue, 08 Dec 2015 13:58:59 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WRs Larry Fitzgerald (ankle), John Brown (hamstring) and Michael Floyd (hamstring) were limited in practice Tuesday, Dec. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald, Brown ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) and Floyd ($6,000, 12.0%) were able to play last week, and they played well. It would be a surprise to see any of them sit in Week 14, but they should be monitored throughout the week to be sure. Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8%) is the most consistent of the three, but they're all worth consideration for FantasyScore lineups.

Cardinals | Arizona's top three WRs limited

Mon, 07 Dec 2015 16:28:16 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WRs John Brown (hamstring), Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) and Michael Floyd (hamstring) were limited during practice Monday, Dec. 7.

Fantasy Tip: All three receivers were able to play against the St. Louis Rams in Week 13 and each caught at least six passes. Fitzgerald is currently leading the team in receiving yards, but Brown and Floyd are also value pieces to the passing game. Fantasy owners should consider all three as starting options against the Minnesota Vikings Thursday, Dec. 10.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald passes milestone

Sun, 06 Dec 2015 17:37:05 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald passed the 1,000-reception mark for his career in the Week 13 game against the St. Louis Rams.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald finished with eight reception for 55 yards on 11 targets, although he failed to find the end zone for the fourth straight game. After two 100-yard games in his first three outings, he has gone over the century mark just once in the past nine games. Still, he remains a solid WR2/3 or flex option in FantasyScore.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald, John Brown probable

Fri, 04 Dec 2015 14:18:39 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WRs Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) and John Brown (hamstring) are both listed as probable against the St. Louis Rams in Week 13. Fitzgerald put in a full practice Friday, Dec. 4, while Brown was limited.

Fantasy Tip: The Rams are the third-toughest matchup for wide receivers, so paying up for Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) is a bit risky. However, the Cardinals are likely to throw a lot due to injuries in their backfield. Brown ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) has a great chance of returning value if Michael Floyd doesn't play.

Cardinals | Three Arizona receivers limited

Thu, 03 Dec 2015 14:43:33 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WRs John Brown (hamstring), Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) and Michael Floyd (hamstring) were all limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 3.

Fantasy Tip: The St. Louis Rams allow the third-fewest PPR fantasy points (27.2) per game to receivers this year, so beyond Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8% of cap), the Arizona receivers may struggle to return value in daily formats. Floyd ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) put up a dud last week and probably won't be 100%.

Cardinals | Three Arizona receivers limited

Wed, 02 Dec 2015 16:05:23 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WRs John Brown (hamstring), Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) and Michael Floyd (hamstring) were all limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Fantasy Tip: The St. Louis Rams are one of the tougher defense against wide receivers this year, so beyond Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8% of cap), the Cardinals wideouts are risky daily commodities in Week 13. Floyd ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) is coming off a stinker, and his health is probably affecting him the most right now.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald held out of end zone

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 20:44:02 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald hauled in 10 receptions for 66 yards with 14 targets in the Week 12 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald nearly had a touchdown, but it was dropped in the end zone to make fantasy owners shudder and wring their hands. He was still solid in PPR formats since he had 10 grabs.

Cardinals | John Brown, Larry Fitzgerald probable

Fri, 27 Nov 2015 15:38:57 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WRs John Brown (hamstring) and Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) are probable to face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12. Brown was limited in practice Friday, Nov. 27, while Fitzgerald practiced in full.

Fantasy Tip: Brown ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) would be a wise value play on FantasyScore if Michael Floyd sits out a second straight game. The Niners have been very beatable through the air all year, making Fitz ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) one of the safer wideout selections.

Cardinals | Four Cardinals limited Thursday

Thu, 26 Nov 2015 13:25:29 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WRs John Brown (hamstring), Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) and Michael Floyd (hamstring) and RB Chris Johnson (knee) were limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 26.

Fantasy Tip: Brown ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) didn't practice yesterday, so his limited status is still encouraging. Floyd ($6,600, 13.2%) is probably the other bigger question mark, but don't be surprised if they all end up playing. The whole Arizona offense has a tremendous matchup against the 49ers, and Johnson ($7,300, 14.6%) and Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8%) in particular should be seriously considered on FantasyScore.

Wed, 25 Nov 2015 16:38:29 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WRs Larry Fitzgerald (ankle), Michael Floyd (hamstring) and RB Chris Johnson (knee) were limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Fantasy Tip: All three of Fitz ($7,900, 15.8% of cap), Floyd ($6,600, 13.2%) and Johnson ($7,300, 14.6%) have great matchups against a San Francisco 49ers defense that has struggled in every facet on that side of the ball. If they're able to play, all three are good starts on FantasyScore.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald posts eight catches

Sun, 22 Nov 2015 22:29:17 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald posted eight receptions for 90 yards in the Week 11 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He was targeted 13 times.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald has eight or more catches and 84 or more yards in each of his past three games. He was written off going into the season, but he is proving at 32 years old that he still has plenty left in the tank for fantasy owners.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald good to go

Fri, 20 Nov 2015 14:25:09 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) practiced in full for the second straight day Friday, Nov. 20, and is probable for Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) carries more intrigue in daily formats Sunday night with both Michael Floyd and John Brown iffy to play. Andre Ellington ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) would be worthy of a look in a flex spot, too, Floyd or Brown are inactive.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald fully practices

Thu, 19 Nov 2015 14:32:33 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald should be good to go against the Cincinnati Bengals. It's not the most favorable matchup, but Fitzgerald has become somewhat matchup-proof with Carson Palmer throwing him the ball this year. He's still a good start on FantasyScore at $7,900 (15.8% of cap).

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald limited Wednesday

Wed, 18 Nov 2015 14:01:40 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 18.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) dealt with an ankle ailment last week and ended up catching 10 passes for 130 yards. Expect him to take the field again in Week 11. He has a tough matchup this week against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he did last week against the Seattle Seahawks, too, so don't overlook him on FantasyScore.

Cardinals | Michael Floyd excels in tough matchup

Mon, 16 Nov 2015 10:23:38 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Michael Floyd (hamstring) had seven catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks before leaving with a hamstring injury. WR Larry Fitzgerald had 10 catches for 130 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Floyd has clearly surpassed John Brown as the No. 2 wideout behind the renewed Fitzgerald now, and Floyd has now posted back-to-back 100-yard games and has scored in five straight games (five scores). With Arizona's offense rolling, Floyd is matchup-resistant and is a must-start in all formats.

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 22:38:04 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald posted 10 receptions for 130 yards in the Week 10 game against the Seattle Seahawks. He was targeted a game-high 15 times.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald has re-emerged as a must-start FantasyScore option this season. He has three 100-yard games, and he has visited the end zone seven times in the past eight games.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald expected to play

Fri, 13 Nov 2015 16:50:25 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 13, and is listed as probable for the Week 10 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) has been a bit inconsistent over the last several weeks but has caught at least five passes in all but one game this season. Fitzgerald will be facing a solid Seahawks defense this week and may not be the best option on FantasyScore because of the high price.

Cardinals | Fitzgerald to draw Richard Sherman?

Fri, 13 Nov 2015 13:45:59 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald, who leads the Cardinals in catches (55), receiving yards (706) and touchdowns (seven), could be followed by Seattle Seahawks shutdown CB Richard Sherman in Week 10. Sherman has been matched up against the opposing team's best receiver for several games this year, but Fitzgerald wonders who he might be asked to cover this weekend. Fitzgerald is playing mostly out of the slot this year, so Seahawks CBs Cary Williams or DeShawn Shead would need to be used on the outside if Sherman matches up with Fitzgerald.

Fantasy Tip: Sherman is much more comfortable on the outside, so we have a hard time believing he'd match up often with Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) in the slot. However, a matchup with a stingy Seattle defense through the air means it might be tough for Fitz to return value on FantasyScore.

Thu, 12 Nov 2015 17:39:10 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) should play against the Seattle Seahawks and see his usual targets. Fitzgerald will be facing a tough defense but could still be a decent option for fantasy owners.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald, Darren Fells practice

Wed, 11 Nov 2015 15:27:05 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) and TE Darren Fells (shoulder) both took part in full practices Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) is having an excellent bounce-back season, but his price on FantasyScore will likely be too high for most owner's tastes in the matchup with the Seattle Seahawks on the road. Fells ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has no more than two catches since Week 2 of the season and should continue to be ignore in all leagues.

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (ankle) rolled his ankle against the Cleveland Browns in Week 8, but he was able to continue and finished with nine catches for 84 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,800, 15.6% of cap) continues to turn back the clock, and he has topped 80 yards in six of the eight games this year. He deserves weekly consideration at FantasyScore as the top target in Arizona's passing attack.

Mon, 26 Oct 2015 21:31:09 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald posted three catches for 39 yards in the Week 7 game against the Baltimore Ravens Monday, Oct. 26. He was targeted five times.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,800, 15.6% of cap) didn't come close to living up to his FantasyScore salary in this one, but it was a rare poor game this season. He should emerge next weekend with a favorable matchup at Cleveland in Week 8.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald showing consistency

Mon, 26 Oct 2015 11:33:57 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald has caught at least one pass in 169 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the NFL. New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (134) and Baltimore Ravens WR Steve Smith (127) are second and third, respectively.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald is having quite a tremendous rebound of a 2015 season after a disappointing 2014 campaign. Marshall and Smith are also leading their respective clubs in receiving. All three are WR1s at this point and worth starting every week as long as they're healthy.

Sat, 24 Oct 2015 14:12:11 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (non-injury) practiced Saturday, Oct. 24, and is probable for Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Tip: Fitz ($7,800, 15.6% of cap) has been a monster early on and is a low-end WR1 target on FantasyScore.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald back at practice

Fri, 23 Oct 2015 15:52:15 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,800, 15.6% of cap) should be fine for the Week 7 game against the Baltimore Ravens and will look to extend his streak of at least five receptions per game. Fitzgerald should be a solid starting option since the Ravens have allowed the second most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season.

Thu, 22 Oct 2015 14:47:54 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (non-injury) received a veteran's day off Thursday, Oct. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,800, 15.6% of cap) will be on the field this weekend against one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL in the Baltimore Ravens. His price is high, but his production could very well meet or exceed that price.

Sun, 11 Oct 2015 19:27:52 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald had five catches for 58 yards and a touchdown in a 42-17 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 5.

Fantasy Tip: Although Fitzgerald ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) had his fewest receiving yards of the year, he scored for the sixth time in five games. He has turned back the clock to start the year and deserves weekly consideration at FantasyScore.

Cardinals | Arizona offensive weapons thriving

Tue, 06 Oct 2015 15:13:13 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald leads the league in touchdown catches (five) and is third in receiving yards (432) through four games this year. QB Carson Palmer is second in touchdown passes (10) to Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (11). RB Chris Johnson is ranked fifth in the NFL with 302 rushing yards, and he's averaging 4.4 yards per carry.

Fantasy Tip: The Detroit Lions, Arizona's Week 5 opponent, is allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks (23.6) and seventh-most point-per-reception points to receivers (40.7) per game this year, making Palmer ($8,200, 16.4% of cap) and Fitzgerald ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) fine daily picks this weekend. Johnson's ($5,700, 11.4% of cap) outlook is a little more cloudy with Andre Ellington possibly returning.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald leads passing attack

Sun, 04 Oct 2015 20:42:22 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald had seven catches for 99 yards and lost a fumble in a 24-22 loss to the St. Louis Rams in Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,100, 14.2% of cap) didn't find the end zone, but he has had at least 87 receiving yards in all four games. He looks entrenched as the team's top target, and he should be a strong WR2 going forward.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald evolving

Fri, 02 Oct 2015 17:16:36 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald leads all receivers in touchdowns (five), is tied for second in first downs (19) and ranks fifth in yards (333) and eighth in catches (23) after three weeks. His five touchdowns in the last two weeks are a career high for him in back-to-back games. A scout for an NFC East team said Fitzgerald's legs look fresh and rejuvenated. Fitzgerald has bought into head coach Bruce Arians' system and has successfully learned to play in the slot while also doing more blocking against linebackers and safeties. Arians said the difference is that Fitzgerald is playing fully healthy after dealing with two knee injuries last year. Fitzgerald had 22 snaps from the slot for six catches and 99 yards in Week 3 in the first half alone.

"It's been an adjustment," Fitzgerald said of his new role. "You're definitely more sore after games. But it also creates more opportunities for me in the passing game. When I come down in motion, you don't know if I'm blocking or if I'm going out for a pass. It's created a lot more easy catches for me. You're closer to the quarterback, so there's less margin for error. I'm also a bigger guy against much smaller guys in the nickel, so the catches are a little easier."

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,100, 14.2% of cap) will not be able to keep this pace all season long, but he's also definitely not done after a down year in 2015. His new role should keep him relevant in point-per-reception leagues for most of the year as long as he's healthy. It never hurts to see what you could get on the open market in your league for him, too, if you want to consider selling high.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald to continue hot start?

Thu, 01 Oct 2015 10:59:36 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald has more touchdown catches against the St. Louis Rams (16) than any other active player against a single team in the regular season. Fitzgerald faces the Rams in Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald ($7,100, 14.2% of cap) is back as a No. 1 wideout for the Cardinals. He has 23 catches (28 targets) for 333 yards and five touchdowns in three weeks, including back-to-back weeks of at least 100 yards. The pace will be impossible to sustain, but he should yet again be a fine FantasyScore pick against the Rams this weekend.
