Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald said he would like to see who the Cardinals hire as their next head coach before he decides if he will play in 2018.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should monitor the situation over the next few weeks to see if Fitzgerald will play again. He is still a solid receiver and could be a No. 3 fantasy receiver next season if he plays.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald targeted often

Fri, 29 Dec 2017 05:56:58 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald has been targeted once every three pass attempts in the four games QB Drew Stanton has started, according to Pro Football Focus. Fitzgerald has accounted for 44.2 percent of Stanton's passing yardage.

Fantasy Tip: Fitz has been consistently brilliant the last three years, and his 101-1,101-6 line has kept him a valuable WR2 despite the walls of the offense crumbling around him. He faces a banged-up Seattle Seahawks defense in Week 17.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald logs full practice

Thu, 28 Dec 2017 17:06:59 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (non-injury) returned to practice Thursday, Dec. 28, and was a full participant.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald only missed practice Wednesday because that's just standard protocol for the future Hall-of-Famer. In what could be his final NFL game, the 14-year veteran is a worthy WR2 in all formats, as he may elect to leave it all out on the field with nothing else to play for. Even with Drew Stanton under center, Fitzgerald is capable of having a huge day in Seattle.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald misses practice

Wed, 27 Dec 2017 17:32:09 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Fantasy Tip: As usual, the future Hall-of-Famer is simply being rested early in the week. With this potentially being his final NFL game, Fitzgerald is an extra intriguing option for all formats, as he might choose to leave it all out on the field despite the team having nothing to play for in Week 17. Thus, he's worth firing up everywhere and arguably could have a higher ceiling than usual as a result.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald unsure of 2018 plans

Thu, 21 Dec 2017 19:15:52 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald said he is still unsure if he will play in 2018. "I don't know," Fitzgerald said. "I'm going to take some time, figure it out."

Fantasy Tip: Despite a revolving door at the quarterback spot, Fitzgerald is still 11th in receiving yards tied for fourth in receptions this year. If he decides to return next season, he will be no worse than a WR3 in 2018.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald back at practice Thursday

Thu, 21 Dec 2017 15:36:09 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (non-injury) was back at practice Thursday, Dec. 21, and was a full participant.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald was only off on Wednesday due to rest, so he's perfectly fine for the team's upcoming contest versus the Giants. Although he has just 104 receiving yards with no touchdowns over the last two weeks, the 14-year veteran is still a solid WR2. Weekly leagues should consider riding him, too, as it's possible that this is the penultimate game of Fitzgerald's Hall-of-Fame career.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald set to make history again

Tue, 19 Dec 2017 18:04:18 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald needs eight more receptions over the final two games of the season to become one of five players in NFL history to record 100 catches in at least five different seasons.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald also only needs 18 more receiving yards for his third straight 1,000-yard season and has caught a pass in 209 consecutive games. While the 34-year-old's durability has helped him achieve these marks - he's missed only two games since 2008 and played 216 of a possible 222 regular-season games - his size, flypaper hands and route-running precision have been just as important. Fitzgerald remains a low-end WR1 for Week 16 against the New York Giants.

He has two more games to gather just 18 yards for his third straight 1,000-yard season, and ninth of what is going to be a Hall of Fame career.

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (non-injury related) was given the day off of practice Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Mon, 11 Dec 2017 20:03:54 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald passed retired WR Randy Moss for third place on the all-time receiving yards list with his performance in the team's Week 14 game Sunday, Dec. 10, against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Tip: While it wasn't one of Fitzgerald's stronger outings of the campaign, he still remains a fine WR2 option with Blaine Gabbert under center. Remarkably, the 14-year veteran is closing in on his ninth season with 1,000 or more receiving yards, needing only 78 more to do so with three games remaining.

Sun, 26 Nov 2017 20:44:08 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald posted three catches for 12 yards on eight targets in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald was frequently targeted by Blaine Gabbert, but the two just couldn't hook up. He hooked up nine times with Gabbert for 91 yards and a touchdown last week, so it's not a rapport issue. It just didn't work out in this one for whatever reason. Fitz will look to bounce back in Week 13 against the Rams.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald no lock to play in 2018

Fri, 17 Nov 2017 19:02:15 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald's one-year extension doesn't necessarily mean he will play in 2018, but it does mean that if he plays, it will be for the Cardinals, according to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald is currently third in the NFL and first in the NFC with 60 receptions, so he clearly has plenty left to offer. Even with Drew Stanton under center, he has remained dependable WR3, and it should be more of the same against the Houston Texans in Week 11 when Blaine Gabbert take over as the quarterback.

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald posted five receptions for 70 yards on nine targets in Week 9 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Tip: No Carson Palmer, no problem for the future Hall of Famer. He had the past two weeks to re-introduce himself and build rapport with Drew Stanton and the duo were on the same page. Fitz remains a dependable fantasy option in all formats.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald posts monster line on MNF

Mon, 25 Sep 2017 21:33:00 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald recorded his most receptions in a game since 2009 when he hauled in 13-of-15 targets for 149 receiving yards in the team's Week 3 affair Monday, Sept. 25, against the Dallas Cowboys. He also scored a touchdown.

Fantasy Tip: This was very refreshing for his owners after Fitzgerald totaled a measly nine catches for 95 yards combined in the first two games. Opposite the Cowboys, the 34-year-old proved that he can still be a capable WR1 in 2017. As long as John Brown remains out, Fitzgerald should continue to benefit from that as well.

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 15:45:19 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald caught three passes for 21 yards in a 16-13 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, Sept. 17.

Fantasy Tip: The question among a lot of people after the game was why didn't Carson Palmer target Fitzgerald more often? This was a deep dropoff for Fitzgerald and definitely disappointed his fantasy owners. You may want to leave Fitzgerald in flex status for the time being, as the Dallas Cowboys are up next in Week 3 on Monday Night Football. See how he does in that game.
