Boston Red Sox manager Terry Francona does not like the idea of having 3B Mike Lowell and 1B Kevin Youkilis switching positions, according to Gordon Edes of ESPNBoston.com. "I'm not for it," Francona said. "(Lowell) has played third base his whole life. He could do it, but I don't know if it's as easy as people think, and I don't know if it's in his best interests." Francona added that a position change could increase the amount of stress placed on Lowell's surgically repaired right hip, as a result of a different set of movements needed to play first.
