Texas Rangers Cs Yorvit Torrealba and Matt Treanor collided during pregame stretching Monday, Oct. 3, but neither were seriously injured after being checked by trainers. Neither player was starting in Game 3 of the Divisional Series.

Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington said C Matt Treanor has made the playoff roster and that SP Alexi Ogando will pitch out of the bullpen. That likely means that SPs Matt Harrison and Colby Lewis will pitch Games 3 and 4 of the Divisional Series. Washington said the team will go with seven relievers.

The Texas Rangers acquired RP Mike Gonzalez from the Baltimore Orioles Wednesday, Aug. 31, in exchange for a player to be named. Also, Texas landed C Matt Treanor from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for a player to be named or cash considerations. In corresponding moves, the team moved P Wilmer Font (undisclosed) to the 60-day disabled list and designated P Tim Wood for assignment.
