Los Angeles Dodgers will give C A.J. Ellis a scheduled day off Friday, May 11, which will be two full days of rest coupled with the team's scheduled open date Thursday, May 10. C Matt Treanor will make the start in Ellis' stead.

The Texas Rangers added C Matt Treanor and RP Mark Lowe (hamstring) to their World Series roster before Game 1 Wednesday, Oct. 19. RPs Koji Uehara and Yoshinori Tateyama have been taken off the roster.

Texas Rangers Cs Yorvit Torrealba and Matt Treanor collided during pregame stretching Monday, Oct. 3, but neither were seriously injured after being checked by trainers. Neither player was starting in Game 3 of the Divisional Series.

Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington said C Matt Treanor has made the playoff roster and that SP Alexi Ogando will pitch out of the bullpen. That likely means that SPs Matt Harrison and Colby Lewis will pitch Games 3 and 4 of the Divisional Series. Washington said the team will go with seven relievers.
