The Milwaukee Brewers signed free-agent P Marty McLeary (Blue Jays) to an undisclosed minor league deal Monday, June 14, according to CBSSports.com.

Dejan Kovacevic, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports the Pittsburgh Pirates have not decided who will replace P Tony Armas Jr. in the rotation. The most likely candidate is RP Shawn Chacon, but management is not expected to make a decision until next week. Other candidates include RP Marty McLeary, SP John Van Benschoten and SP Bryan Bullington. The latter two have been pitching well at Triple-A Indianapolis this season. The Pirates will likely skip the No. 5 spot in the rotation the next time around because the team has a day off Monday, May 21.

Sports Network reports the Pittsburgh Pirates recalled P Marty McLeary from Triple-A Indianapolis Thursday, May 3. He had appeared in eight games (two starts) there, going 2-2 with a 4.22 ERA.
