The latest Jason Frasor MLB and fantasy baseball news
Wed, 27 Feb 2013 13:42:58 -0800 Texas Rangers RP Cory Burns has begun to stand out among the team's bullpen options this spring, making three scoreless appearances. "He's doing a good job," manager Ron Washington said. "He's got deception, changes speed and can move the ball in on left-handers. He can throw his fastball on both sides of the plate." Burns throws in the high-80s with a sidearm delivery but his changeup generates swings and misses nearly 40 percent of the time. RPs Joe Nathan and Jason Frasor are the only pitchers guaranteed spots in the bullpen. RPs Tanner Scheppers (hamstring) and Wilmer Font (shoulder) are both sidelined with minor injuries, and RP Josh Lindblom hasn't fared very well so far. I don't know where that's going to go," general manager Alex Anthopoulos said. Lyon is seeking a multi-year deal but will likely have to take a pay cut from his $5.5 million salary.
