According to The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Milwaukee Brewers and OF David Krynzel have agreed on a one-year contract for 2006. Financial terms were not disclosed.

According to Tom Haudricourt of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Milwaukee Brewers OF prospect David Krynzel (clavicle) will undergo surgery on Jan. 12 to repair a broken right clavicle, the result of a mini-bike accident two months ago that Krynzel did not reveal to club officials until earlier in the week. Krynzel is expected to need eight weeks to recover from the surgery, meaning he will miss much of spring training.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Milwaukee Brewers OF David Krynzel is a likely candidate for Triple-A Nashville regardless of how well he does in camp. "David's in a Catch-22," Brewers MAN Ned Yost said. "Either David is going to do so poorly in big-league camp that he's going to get sent down or he's going to do so well in big-league camp that he's going to get sent down. The latter is true, right now. That's tough."

Adam McCalvy, of Brewers.MLB.com, reports Milwaukee Brewers OF David Krynzel (concussion) suffered a concussion after being hit in the back of the head by a pitch during an at-bat Friday, October 1. Krynzel sat out of the team's final two games of the season but is expected to be ready to play in the Mexican Winter League.
