The Seattle Mariners have agreed to terms with free-agent 1B Corey Hart (Brewers) on a one-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Fantasy Tip: Hart could be a sleeper candidate next season because he was not able to play in 2013 due to a knee injury. Hart could see time at first base, designated hitter and in the outfield for the Mariners. His power numbers may go down with the move, but he has the power to play in any stadium. His fantasy value likely will be determined by his health in 2014.

The Milwaukee Brewers are believed to have made an offer to re-sign 1B Corey Hart, and the club is waiting on his answer, which is expected to come later this week. General manager Doug Melvin said he spoke to Hart's agent, Jeff Berry. It's likely that the Brewers offered Hart a one-year deal heavy with incentives. 3B Juan Francisco or names like Hunter Morris, Jason Rogers and Sean Halton would be options at first base next year if Hart doesn't come back.

The Colorado Rockies had interest in free-agent 1B Corey Hart (Brewers) and OF Mike Morse (Mariners), but both fit better at first base.
