The Milwaukee Brewers placed 1B Corey Hart (knee) on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday, March 27.

Fantasy Tip: Hart is known as a quick healer, and he's currently ahead of schedule in his rehab from knee surgery. Expect him to return in early to mid-May. His draft position has dropped quite drastically. If you have DL spots to stash him, he's in a nice spot to return excellent value.

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Corey Hart (knee) has been cleared to engage in more aggressive rehabilitation on his right knee after the results of an MRI exam came back clean. "They liked what they saw," manager Ron Roenicke said. "Corey's off crutches, can drive again. So he's a happy camper. Just being able to get off the crutches and the weight-bearing part of it ... more independent now that he gets to drive again." Hart is still expected to return to action in mid- to late May.

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Corey Hart (knee) said he has already started his rehab after undergoing surgery on his knee last week, and he'll undergo an MRI exam in three weeks. He said there is a "realistic" chance that he could be ready to play by the end of April, nearly a month ahead of his projected return date. "If it takes a little longer then mid to end of May but I feel good about end of April," said Hart, "So basically like 2011, when I came back and hit 26 homers in five months."

The Brewers are talking to free-agent 1B Lyle Overbay (Braves) about a minor league contract, which would reunite him with the club where he played in 2004 and 2005. The Brewers want some backup for 1B Mat Gamel with 1B/OF Corey Hart out due to injury.
