The Cincinnati Reds have filed a grievance against the Washington Nationals, over the trade that brought RP Gary Majewski to the Reds last season, according to the Associated Press. Cincinnati said Nationals general manager Jim Bowden failed to inform the team of Majewski's shoulder problems when they acquired him as part of an eight-player deal, July 13, 2006. Majewski has struggled since joining the team, and is in the minor leagues this year. MLB spokesman Patrick Courtney confirmed the grievance, and baseball officials will gather information about the disputed deal, before determining whether to let the deal stand or force the teams to amend the trade. There is no timetable for a resolution.
