The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports Texas Rangers IF Jason Hart (tumor) had an at-bat in Saturday, March 5's game, marking the first time Hart has batted in a game this spring after missing all of last season with a nonmalignant tumor in his brain.

The Associated Press reports Texas Rangers OF Jason Hart (tumor) is expected to miss the entire 2004 season with a non-cancerous brain tumor. Hart is expected to undergo surgery in the next few weeks to have the tumor removed. General manager John Hart said the team was "shocked and saddened to hear of Jason's diagnosis." He said the Rangers' medical staff believes the tumor was diagnosed early, "and we all hope we see Jason back on the field as soon as possible."
