Philadelphia Phillies RP Jonathan Papelbon was not available to pitch Tuesday, May 15, after being used on back-to-back days. RP Chad Qualls blew the save against the Houston Astros Tuesday. Qualls allowed four hits and two earned runs in the 21-pitch outing.

Philadelphia Phillies RP Chad Qualls said he is 100 percent healthy, but he's accrued an ERA of 8.31 and just two groundouts in his last six outings entering Friday, May 11. He said he's been rushing his delivery and getting too far out in front. "When I start to rush, the movement goes side to side rather than vertical," Qualls said. "That's what induces a groundball is the fact that my ball will move down, so it forces them to hit the ball down." Contrary to a previous item, though, he has not been placed on the disabled list.

The Philadelphia Phillies placed OF Laynce Nix (calf) and RP Chad Qualls (knee) on the 15-day disabled list Friday, May 11. RPs Jake Diekman and Raul Valdes and INF Hector Luna were recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in corresponding moves.
