The Los Angeles Dodgers signed free-agent SS Ivan Ochoa (Mexican League) to a minor league contract Thursday, Feb. 10, reports Matt Eddy, of Baseball America.

The Providence Journal reports the Boston Red Sox have reassigned IF Ivan Ochoa to minor league camp. Ochoa has been outshined by IF Nick Green in the race to be a backup infielder on the team. Ochoa hit .220 with two home runs and six RBIs this spring.

Art Martone, of The Providence Journal, reports the Boston Red Sox announced the signings of six free agents to 2009 minor league contracts. In addition, all six players have been invited to Boston's major league spring training camp as non-roster players. The six free agents are IF Angel Chavez, IF Nick Green, IF Ivan Ochoa, OF Chip Ambres, P Fernando Cabrera, and C Carlos Maldonado.
