According to The Arizona Republic, Arizona Diamondbacks C/1B Alan Zinter (plantar fascia), out since June 19 because of a torn left plantar fascia, performed baseball work before the Aug. 8 game and believes he can start a minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Tucson as soon as Aug. 13.
