Los Angeles Dodgers SP Zack Greinke is hopeful to duplicate his success against the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 5 of the National League Championship Series. He noted that when he faced the same opponent in back-to-back assignments, the results differed sharply. He dominated the Cardinals in Game 1. "A lot of times, you'll have one good start and one bad start," Greinke said Tuesday, Oct. 15. "Or if you do bad, you'll probably do good the next time. If you do good, they're going to make an adjustment, and you've got to be faster than them at it."

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly has lined up the rotation coming out of the All-Star break. Ricky Nolasco will start on Friday, July 19, followed by Zack Greinke, Clayton Kershaw, Hyun-Jin Ryu, and either Chris Capuano or Stephen Fife (shoulder), who'll be eligible to return from the disabled list. Kershaw might move up depending on his use in the All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 16.
Fantasy Tip: The Capuano-Fife decision would affect NL-only players, so stay tuned.

Los Angeles Dodgers RP J.P. Howell and INF/OF Skip Schumaker have been suspended for two games for their aggressive actions during the incidents of the game on Tuesday, June 11, against the Arizona Diamondbacks. RP Ronald Belisario has been suspended for one game for a similar reason. Manager Don Mattingly has been suspended for one game for the actions of his club and his conduct during the incidents. Hitting coach Mark McGwire has been suspended for two games for his conduct during the incidents. Mattingly is scheduled to serve his suspension on Friday, June 14. McGwire will serve his on Friday and Saturday, June 15.
Also, SP Zack Greinke and OF Yasiel Puig were fined undisclosed amounts. All player discipline is subject to appeal.
The organization has also been fined for allowing players who are on the disabled list to enter the field during the incidents. The Dodgers will not be allowed to have players who are on the DL to sit in their dugout for their games throughout this coming weekend. Those players may return to their benches on Monday, June 17.
Fantasy Tip: Phew. Thankfully, for fantasy owners, Greinke and Puig escaped without suspensions. The rest of this is inconsequential for fantasy purposes, essentially.

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Zack Greinke (collarbone) allowed just one run in 5 1/3 innings against the Washington Nationals Wednesday, May 15, in his first start back since undergoing surgery on his fractured left collarbone. Dr. Neal ElAttrache fixed Greinke's collarbone by putting a metal plate inside it to stabilize it. Greinke felt some soreness in his collarbone during a swing in the second inning, but he recovered and got an RBI single. "It's not 100 percent, but it doesn't restrict me at all on my pitching," he said. Greinke touched 92 mph a few times in the outing.
Fantasy Tip: Greinke is still probably building some strength in his right arm after rehabbing his collarbone. His injury was to his left side, though, so that's a positive. He shouldn't have any restrictions moving forward. Start him as you normally would.

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed SP Josh Beckett (groin) on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday, May 15, and activated SP Zack Greinke (collarbone) from the DL in a corresponding move.
Fantasy Tip: Beckett has been a disappointment for the Blue this season, and he can safely be dropped in most mixed formats unless you plan on utilizing him in a DL spot.
