Thu, 16 May 2013 11:28:13 -0700 Los Angeles Dodgers SP Zack Greinke (collarbone) allowed just one run in 5 1/3 innings against the Washington Nationals Wednesday, May 15, in his first start back since undergoing surgery on his fractured left collarbone. Dr. Neal ElAttrache fixed Greinke's collarbone by putting a metal plate inside it to stabilize it. Greinke felt some soreness in his collarbone during a swing in the second inning, but he recovered and got an RBI single. "It's not 100 percent, but it doesn't restrict me at all on my pitching," he said. Greinke touched 92 mph a few times in the outing. Fantasy Tip: Greinke is still probably building some strength in his right arm after rehabbing his collarbone. His injury was to his left side, though, so that's a positive. He shouldn't have any restrictions moving forward. Start him as you normally would.
Wed, 15 May 2013 15:18:15 -0700 The Los Angeles Dodgers placed SP Josh Beckett (groin) on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday, May 15, and activated SP Zack Greinke (collarbone) from the DL in a corresponding move. Fantasy Tip: Beckett has been a disappointment for the Blue this season, and he can safely be dropped in most mixed formats unless you plan on utilizing him in a DL spot.
Tue, 14 May 2013 16:10:06 -0700 Los Angeles Dodgers SP Zack Greinke (collarbone) will return from the 15-day disabled list to start against the Washington Nationals Wednesday, May 15. Fantasy Tip: Make the necessary adjustments to your roster to bring Greinke off one of your disabled list spots. The Nationals don't represent the best matchup up on his return, but it'll be hard to sit Greinke now that he's fully healthy.
Tue, 14 May 2013 15:44:00 -0700 Los Angeles Dodgers SP Ted Lilly (rib cage, neck) will make a rehab start for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga Wednesday, May 15, which means SP Zack Greinke (collarbone) won't pitch for Rancho Cucamonga. Fantasy Tip: Lilly won't necessarily be a lock to re-enter the starting rotation when he's healthy. If he does reclaim a starting role, he's more of a stream option in deep mixed leagues. Greinke could be making his return to the Dodgers' rotation tomorrow night.
Mon, 13 May 2013 16:20:37 -0700 Los Angeles Dodgers SP Zack Greinke (collarbone) will make a start Wednesday, May 15, but the team is unsure if it will be a rehab outing or a start with the team. Fantasy Tip: If his start is in the minors, it'll likely be his last before returning from the disabled list. Matt Magill will likely return to the minors to make room in the rotation for Greinke.
Sat, 11 May 2013 09:41:52 -0700 Los Angeles Dodgers SP Zack Greinke (collarbone) allowed eight runs on six hits over 4 1/3 innings in a rehab start for Class A Rancho Cucamonga Friday, May 10, with no walks and four strikeouts. He did not experience any setbacks or discomfort during his rehab assignment and he could rejoin the Dodgers rotation as soon as Wednesday, May 15.
Thu, 09 May 2013 18:23:05 -0700 Los Angeles Dodgers SP Zack Greinke (collarbone) could start the team's game Wednesday, May 15, if his rehab start with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga goes well. Fantasy Tip: Owners should know a lot more about Greinke's status after his rehab start Friday. He should be added to starting lineups next week if he does rejoin the team.
Thu, 09 May 2013 16:55:35 -0700 Los Angeles Dodgers SP Zack Greinke (collarbone) will make a rehab start for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga Friday, May 10. Fantasy Tip: Greinke is well ahead of schedule from a fractured collarbone suffered during a brawl with Carlos Quentin and the San Diego Padres last month. It's unclear how many rehab outings he'll need, but expect him to return to the rotation soon.
Mon, 06 May 2013 16:47:29 -0700 Los Angeles Dodgers SP Zack Greinke (collarbone) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday, May 7, and manager Don Mattingly thinks Greinke will be back in June.
Sat, 04 May 2013 17:45:04 -0700 Los Angeles Dodgers SP Zack Greinke (collarbone) is about three weeks ahead of schedule. The team hopes Greinke will be able to return in two to three weeks. Fantasy Tip: It appears Greinke is making progress in his rehab and could start a rehab assignment in the near future. Owners should continue to monitor his situation in case there is a change to the timetable.
