The New York Post reports the New York Yankees and Cuban 2B Yobal Duenas have reached agreement on a $60,000 contract. Duenas will likely play third base for the Yankees' Triple-A affiliate, Columbus. Duenas, who defected from Cuba in October, will not be part of the third-base contingent looking to replace injured Yankees 3B Aaron Boone.

ESPN.com reports Cuban National Team 2B Yobal Duenas was reported missing by authorities Saturday, Nov. 1. Duenas, 31, is a former Cuban stolen base champion. At 31, he is on the down side of a career in which he debuted with the Cuban national league at 17.
