The Associated Press reports the Washington Nationals sent OF Brandon Watson back to Triple-A Columbus after their game Tuesday night, June 26. Watson had hit .278 with two RBIs in five games while filling in for 1B Robert Fick during Fick's stint on the bereavement list.

The Columbus Dispatch reports Washington Nationals OF Brandon Watson, of Triple-A Columbus, ended his International League record hitting streak at 43 games Monday, June 18. Watson's 43-game streak broke the 95-year old record of 42 games set by Jack Lelivelt of Triple-A Rochester in 1912.
