The Associated Press reports former MLB P Denny McLain was arrested without incident Friday, April 12, because of an outstanding warrant related to a civil case. Oakland county sheriff's deputies went to McLain's home in a foreclosure action and learned McLain had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for a Jan. 16 court hearing. He was arrested and appeared before a judge, who set bond at 10 percent of $175,000. He posted bond Friday night and was released from jail.

The Detroit Free Press' Bill McGraw reports former Detroit Tigers SP Denny McLain has a new book coming out, "I Told You I Wasn't Perfect", that blasts his former teammates for perceived work and social habits. McLain says of former manager Mayo Smith, among others, "Mayo drank so much that it usually took him three or four innings to sober up and get his head into the game."

The Associated Press reports former two-time Cy Young Award winner and former Detroit Tigers great Denny McLain recently finished a six-month work-release program after spending six years in federal prison for embezzlement, money laundering, mail fraud and conspiracy.
