St. Louis Cardinals 1B Matt Adams is not in the starting lineup Sunday, July 24, against the Los Angeles Dodgers. OF Matt Holliday is playing first base against Dodgers SP Scott Kazmir.
Fantasy Tip: Adams is a lefty, so he is out of the lineup against Kazmir this evening. Holliday is definitely worth the start in all formats.

St. Louis Cardinals 2B Greg Garcia is leading off Saturday, July 23, OF Jeremy Hazelbaker is hitting sixth and C Alberto Rosario hits eighth. 2B Kolten Wong, OF Matt Holliday and C Yadier Molina are out of the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Garcia has cooled a bit, but he's still hitting .314. He has upside at leadoff against Kenta Maeda. Hazelbaker and Rosario don't offer much for DFS purposes.

St. Louis Cardinals OF Matt Holliday went 0-for-7 with two strikeouts against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday, July 22.
Fantasy Tip: A lifetime .304 hitter, Holliday's 0-for-7 showing dropped his 2016 average to .238, and it remains a sore spot amid otherwise strong power numbers. The 36-year-old is still a middling starting option in standard leagues.

St. Louis Cardinals OF Matt Holliday (nose) is back in the starting lineup and is hitting cleanup against Los Angeles Dodgers SP Brandon McCarthy Friday, July 22.
Fantasy Tip: Holliday had a scary moment Thursday when a pitch hit his nose and upper lip, causing him to gush blood. But he's back in there and should remain in all starting lineups. He's hitting just .244 but has 17 long balls and 55 RBI and should remain a key cog for fantasy owners in the second half.

St. Louis Cardinals OF Matt Holliday (nose) didn't suffer a fractured nose after being hit by a pitch Thursday, July 21, but he has a facial abrasion by his nose and upper lip. Manager Mike Matheny said Holliday didn't have concussion symptoms, either. He's listed as day-to-day.
Fantasy Tip: Holliday appears to have dodged a bullet here, but don't be surprised if the Cardinals hold him out for a game or two to be safe. Plan for that with your lineups. Holliday has kind of flown under the radar with a .244 average, 17 home runs and 55 RBI, but a low BABIP in the first half suggests he'll be much better from here on out, and he continues to make plenty of hard contact.

St. Louis Cardinals OF Matt Holliday (nose) got hit in the nose by a 95 mph fastball from San Diego Padres SP Andrew Cashner Thursday, July 21. He tried to stay in the game but was ultimately taken out.
Fantasy Tip: It sounds scary, especially since the pitch was thrown by someone who throws as hard as Cashner does, but fortunately, it appears Holliday may have escaped injury here. Regardless, more should be known about Holliday's status soon, so check back later for an update.
