New York Yankees C Jorge Posada recorded his 41st postseason RBI Saturday, Oct. 9, according to Associated Press reporter Ronald Blum. He passed Mickey Mantle (40) for ninth on the all-time postseason RBI list.

Yankees | Rodriguez passes Mantle on all-time RBI list

New York Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez passed Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle for 45th place on the all-time RBI list Thursday, April 10, reports The Associated Press. Rodriguez had two RBIs in the contest to give him 1,510 for his career.

Astros | Berkman and The Mick in exclusive company

The Houston Chronicle's Jose De Jesus Ortiz reports with his 40th home run of the season, Houston Astros OF Lance Berkman joined Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle as the only switch hitters to have multiple 40-homer seasons. Berkman had 42 home runs in 2002. Switch hitters have had 40 home runs in a season only 11 times. Mantle had four of those seasons.

Braves | C. Jones joins elite company

Mark Bowman, of Atlanta.Braves.MLB.com, reports Atlanta Braves 3B Chipper Jones hit his 350th career home run Wednesday, Aug. 23, tying him with 1B Chili Davis for third on the all-time home run list for switch-hitters. The only two players remaining ahead of him are 1B Mickey Mantle, with 536 home runs, and 3B Eddie Murray, with 504.

Reds | Griffey passes Mantle, DiMaggio with one swing

The Associated Press reports Cincinnati Reds OF Ken Griffey Jr. hit his 537th career homer Wednesday, April 5, to pass Mickey Mantle for 12th place on the career list. He also got his 1,538th career RBI, passing Joe DiMaggio for 31st place.

The Associated Press' David Ginsburg reports New York Yankees OF Bernie Williams moved into fourth place on the Yankees' career hit list with a pair of singles Tuesday, Sept. 27. He passed Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio, and with 2,215 hits, now trails only Lou Gehrig, Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle.

The Hartford Courant reports New York Yankees SS Derek Jeter has scored 100 runs nine times in 10 seasons, which ties him with Mickey Mantle for most 100-run seasons in Yankees history. Mantle scored 100 runs in nine of his 18 seasons.

Orioles | Palmeiro Passes Mantle

The Associated Press reports Baltimore Orioles 1B Rafael Palmeiro hit his 536th and 537th career home runs Saturday, June 12, against the San Francisco Giants, passing Mickey Mantle for 11th on the all-time list. "I was a fan of Mickey Mantle. When I grew up, all my dad talked about was Mickey," Palmeiro said. "To me, he was the guy. To tie and pass him in the same game, I never thought that would happen to me."
