Colts | Frank Gore practices Thursday

Thu, 29 Sep 2016 12:47:34 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 29.

Fantasy Tip: Gore will continue to receive most of the carries for the Colts as long as he can stay healthy. He has posted decent numbers through the first three weeks of the season and should be considered a low-end No. 2 running back or a flex option in most fantasy leagues.

Colts | Frank Gore given day off

Wed, 28 Sep 2016 13:52:27 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non injury) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Fantasy Tip: Gore also received the Wednesday practice off last week, so expect this to become routine for the 33-year-old veteran. Gore has now scored touchdowns in consecutive games, and he had 21 rushing attempts in Week 3. However, he still sports a mediocre 3.9 yards per carry while defying age concerns. View Gore as a low-end RB2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 4.

Colts | Frank Gore fully practices

Thu, 22 Sep 2016 14:58:50 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) participated fully in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Gore is fine after a day of rest. The Chargers are in the top ten so far this year in fantasy points allowed to running backs, including PPR scoring. While Gore is over the hill, he has maintained good health and deserves at least a flex start in all formats.

Colts | Day off for Frank Gore

Wed, 21 Sep 2016 13:38:31 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non injury) was given the day off practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: At 33, Gore will likely receive the odd practice off to keep him as fresh as possible. Through his first 18 games with the Colts, Gore has averaged just 3.7 yards per tote and his fantasy value is dependent on finding the end zone. He's a low-end RB2 while healthy, but he's also at 2,729 career carries and counting.

Colts | Robert Turbin to spell Frank Gore?

Thu, 25 Aug 2016 18:33:17 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Robert Turbin will likely serve as the backup to RB Frank Gore, according to beat writer Stephen Holder.

Fantasy Tip: Josh Ferguson is still worth a flier in keeper leagues, but Turbin is the back to grab in the later rounds as a handcuff to Gore.

Colts | Frank Gore expected to play Saturday

Sat, 20 Aug 2016 06:17:18 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore is expected to receive some playing time during the preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens Saturday, Aug. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Gore wanted to play during the preseason but likely will receive limited carries during the game. He will receive most of the work at running back this season and has been one of the more durable backs in the NFL over the last several seasons. He should be considered a low-end No. 2 running back in a majority of leagues.

Colts | Frank Gore wants to play in preseason

Mon, 15 Aug 2016 15:44:45 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore said he would like to receive some carries during the preseason so he can take a hit. "You want to get out there and get hit," Gore said. "Maybe you'll break one. You never know. I really just want to get hit and go to the ground."

Fantasy Tip: Gore likely will receive a lot of work this season even though he is 33 years old. He has rushed for at least 1,000 yards in eight of his last 10 season and should be a No. 2 or No. 3 running back in all fantasy leagues.

Colts | Backup running back unclear in Indy

Tue, 19 Jul 2016 14:40:10 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore is the unquestioned starter for the Colts, but his backup remains to be seen. ESPN.com's Mike Wells did mention RB Josh Ferguson first for the position, however.

Fantasy Tip: Ferguson has plenty of upside and would make for a nice complement to Gore. He has yet to prove himself, but taking him in the late middle rounds isn't a bad strategy with the potential he has.

Colts | Fewer touches for Frank Gore?

Tue, 19 Jul 2016 14:32:36 -0700

The Indianapolis Colts want RB Frank Gore to have a lightened workload in 2016, according to ESPN.com's Mike Wells.

Fantasy Tip: This should have been anticipated as Gore is 33 years old and entering his 12th NFL season. If he can stay healthy he should still be in contention for 1,000 rushing yards and at least a handful of scores. Drafting him as an RB3 would be ideal.

Colts | Frank Gore still motivated

Sun, 17 Jul 2016 11:21:31 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore uses critics to stay motivated at 33 years old. "When I hear it, that's when I attack my training," Gore said. "When I'm tired, I tell myself what the people are saying about me." Gore works out twice a day, adding football-specific field work to his usual workout involving speed, agility and strength training. Gore said working out more makes his mind stronger heading into training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Not many running backs succeed at Gore's age, but something has to be said for his work ethic, determination and sustainability. If he can stay healthy, Gore is capable of achieving low-end RB2 to high-end RB3 numbers.
