Updating a previous item, the AP reports Anaheim Angels television analyst Rex Hudler will remain in his position despite being arrested in August on suspicion of marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia, and subsequently being suspended by the team for the remainder of the season for violating club policy. "Rex has been an important part of the Angels in recent years, both behind the microphone and in the community," said Angels president Dennis Kuhl on Friday, Nov. 21. "While his situation earlier this year was unfortunate, there has been no lack of regret or accountability on his part. It's time for Rex and the Angels' family to move forward." Hudler also released the following statement: "Life is a series of situations and the choices we make. This experience has affected me in countless ways across the spectrum. At the same time, it has allowed me to fully understand the areas of growth and change that were needed in my life. I thank my family, the Angels' organization and our tremendous fans for their support. I look forward to returning in 2004 to cover the game and ballclub I so dearly cherish."
