Updating previous items, the Associated Press reports New York Mets RP Juan Padilla (elbow) will undergo right elbow surgery Friday, April 12, and could miss the rest of the season. He will have a procedure performed to repair a partial tear of his flexor tendon. He had been trying to make a comeback from Tommy John surgery.

Marty Noble, of NewYork.Mets.MLB.com, reports New York Mets P Juan Padilla (Tommy John surgery) is scheduled to pitch in a competitive game in either Lakeland or Port St. Lucie Sunday, March 11, for the first time in almost year. Friday, March 16, is the one-year anniversary of when he had reconstructive surgery on his elbow.

New York Mets RP Juan Padilla (Tommy John surgery) threw 45 pitches in a recent bullpen/batting practice session, and hopes to appear in a game this week. "I'm not where I want to be yet, but I will be there soon enough," Padilla said. "I threw pretty much everything and I feel good with all three pitches."
