Fantasy Tip: Wayne likely will participate in the next two days of practice and should be ready to play in Week 4. Owners would have to spend $6,500 on Wayne at FantasyScore, and Wayne could be a solid No. 2 or No. 3 wide receiver against the Tennessee Titans this week.

Colts | Andrew Luck not sharing the wealth

Sat, 20 Sep 2014 18:11:26 -0700

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck has targeted WR T.Y. Hilton 22 times and WR Reggie Wayne 20 times in two games this year, and RB Ahmad Bradshaw ranks third on the team with 12 targets. Offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton said he believes Luck will begin targeting the teams other receivers and tight ends as the season goes on.

Fantasy Tip: While Luck may spread the ball around more in the future, Hilton and Wayne look like the receivers to target at FantasyScore in Week 3 with the Colts facing a Jacksonville team that has looked terrible this year. Wayne is the cheaper option and will take up 12.4% of the cap ($6,200), but Hilton has a $6,300 (12.6% of cap) price tag, and his big-play upside could be worth the extra $100.

Wed, 17 Sep 2014 13:08:31 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (rest) and WR Reggie Wayne (rest) both received days of rest and did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Both players will play in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars defense hasn't been able to stop anyone, and they should continue to have trouble with the Colts. Bradshaw ($5,300) and Wayne ($6,200) are both strong plays at FantasyScore.

Colts | Reggie Wayne back on field

Fri, 12 Sep 2014 13:02:52 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (rest) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Wayne played well Week 1 (nine catches, 98 yards) and will look to continue his success this week. Owners could consider using Wayne on FantasyScore at $6,200 or could select a cheaper option and use the extra money at another position.

Colts | Reggie Wayne not practicing

Thu, 11 Sep 2014 09:13:55 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (knee) is not participating in practice Thursday, Sept. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Wayne is likely just taking it slow as he continues to work his way back from tearing his ACL. With a FantasyScore price of $6,200 (12.40% of cap) in Week 2, it may not be a bad idea to look for a safer option until he is up to speed.

Colts | No restrictions for Reggie Wayne

Sat, 06 Sep 2014 19:56:49 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (knee) will not have a snap count or any other restrictions during the team's Week 1 game Sunday, Sept. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Wayne will likely resume his role as Andrew Luck's go-to possession receiver this season, but he may have to shake off some rust as he plays in his first regular-season action since tearing his ACL 11 months ago. Wayne will take up 10.4% of your cap ($5,200) in Week 1 at FantasyScore so it may be best to look for a safer option.

Colts | Reggie Wayne to play

Fri, 05 Sep 2014 13:16:31 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (rest) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 5, and is probable for Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: Wayne will play in the team's Week 1 game, but he is likely not at full speed yet. Wayne's FantasyScore price of $5,400 (10.40% of cap) can probably be better spent elsewhere.

Thu, 04 Sep 2014 14:40:33 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (rest) was back to a full practice Thursday, Sept. 4, after resting Wednesday, Sept. 3.

Fantasy Tip: At 35 and coming off a major knee injury, expect Indy to rest Wayne often during the week this season. He will play in the season opener against the Denver Broncos, but he's probably not at full speed yet, leaving a lot to be desired. Look elsewhere for your starting fantasy wideouts.

Wed, 03 Sep 2014 13:26:14 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (rest) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 3.

Colts | Reggie Wayne to play?

Thu, 21 Aug 2014 14:31:47 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (knee) is a game-time decision against the New Orleans Saints Saturday, Aug. 23, according to head coach Chuck Pagano.

Fantasy Tip: Wayne probably won't see much action this preseason, but it would be nice to see him take the field. He remains a low-end WR3 option in standard leagues.

Thu, 21 Aug 2014 09:13:33 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (knee) is not participating in practice Thursday, Aug. 21.

Fantasy Tip: The team continues to take it slow with Wayne as he works his way back from a knee injury. Wayne should be considered a WR3 on draft day.

Colts | Two receivers sitting

Sat, 16 Aug 2014 15:03:44 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (undisclosed) and WR Reggie Wayne (knee) will not play in the second preseason game Saturday, Aug. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton is a solid WR3 in fantasy. Wayne is a marginal WR4 with his advanced age and coming off a knee injury.

Colts | T.Y. Hilton talks receivers

Tue, 12 Aug 2014 15:46:52 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton not only believes he's a No. 1 wide receiver, but adds teammates Reggie Wayne and Hakeem Nicks into that category as well.

Fantasy Tip: Whatever Hilton thinks, none of the Colts' receivers are in WR1 territory in fantasy. Hilton provides the most value while Nicks and Wayne fall more into WR3 territory, with Wayne having added value in PPR scoring leagues.

Colts | Taking it easy with Reggie Wayne

Mon, 04 Aug 2014 18:32:07 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (knee) has been off limits to defenders during training camp.

Fantasy Tip: The Colts are doing what they can do to keep the veteran healthy heading into the season. He is probably best suited as a WR4 with a little more value in PPR leagues.

Colts | Reggie Wayne feeling good

Thu, 31 Jul 2014 16:02:38 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (knee) said he hasn't had any problems so far with his surgically repaired right knee.

Fantasy Tip: The Colts' have a crowded wide receiver corps this year, including T.Y. Hilton and Hakeem Nicks. With Wayne coming off a serious injury and the plethora of mouths to feed in Indianapolis, it's best to draft him as a WR4 for now.

Colts | Reggie Wayne cleared for practice

Wed, 23 Jul 2014 08:09:13 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (knee) said he has been medically cleared to practice. He's expected to be limited, though, especially in the near future.

Fantasy Tip: Wayne's recovery will dictate how effective he can be early in the year. Keep him in mind as a WR4 that, with proper healing, could return to every-week lineup consideration as 2014 wears on. His presence will affect the target loads for rebound candidates WR Hakeem Nicks and TE Dwayne Allen (hip).

Colts | Reggie Wayne praised

Fri, 18 Jul 2014 10:38:30 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (knee) can still play, get open and make a catch, according to head coach Chuck Pagano. Pagano said it will be great to have Wayne back (from injury) not only because of his on-field ability but because of the leadership he brings to the locker room.

Fantasy Tip: The boat has sailed on the prime of Wayne's career and the Colts wide receiver corps is stacked with WRs T.Y. Hilton, Hakeem Nicks, Da'Rick Rogers and rookie Donte Moncrief all in the mix. Wayne should be considered a WR4 or flex option in standard leagues.

Colts | More on Reggie Wayne

Thu, 19 Jun 2014 14:42:55 -0700

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (knee) feels like he's 100 percent healthy after recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee last season. His most recent visit with Dr. John Uribe showed no fluid in his surgically repaired knee. Wayne has been running routes at the team's facility. "I feel like I have nothing to prove to anybody," Wayne said. "I know what I can do. Guys in this locker room know what I can do. Now it's time to show the first-timers who have not seen me play, the ones that keep calling me Mr. Wayne, ones that say they played with me on 'Madden.' There's no reason why I shouldn't be ready (for training camp) in July."

Fantasy Tip: Wayne has always been a productive player when he's been on the field. However, he's entering his age-36 season, and Andrew Luck has plenty of other receiving weapons to go to. Even if he proves his doubters wrong by coming back fully healthy, he'll have to compete for targets with budding superstar T.Y. Hilton and offseason addition Hakeem Nicks. Wayne's PPR value will likely take a significant hit, and all things considered, he's probably safest as a WR4.

Colts | Reggie Wayne says he's ready

Thu, 19 Jun 2014 12:15:56 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (knee) recently said he has no problems with his surgically repaired right knee. He added that he's waiting until he's told he can suit up and "be a normal football player." Wayne did not participate in the team's mandatory minicamp, as expected, and head coach Chuck Pagano said he may be held out for the early part of training camp in July.

Fantasy Tip: Even though Wayne is coming off a serious injury, we'll give him the benefit of the doubt, because he's always been productive when healthy. But the Colts have plenty of other options in the passing game besides Wayne. He could be a solid WR3, but pegging him for WR4 numbers is probably more realistic right now.

Colts | Reggie Wayne not practicing

Thu, 29 May 2014 11:18:44 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (knee) is not participating in practice Thursday, May 29.

Fantasy Tip: Wayne was not expected to get much work in during the offseason program, so this is not really a surprise. The goal is to be ready for training camp. We should have a better idea where the Colts wide receiver is in his recovery when teams report for training camp later in the summer.

Colts | Select Donte Moncrief 90th overall

Fri, 09 May 2014 19:48:45 -0700

The Indianapolis Colts selected Mississippi WR Donte Moncrief with the 90th overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Fantasy Tip: He's sort of a handcuff/heir apparent to injury-prone vet Hakeem Nicks. At 6-foot-2, 221 pounds, Moncrief could step in with big-play ability. He's someone to watch inseason during 2014 and for the long term, with Reggie Wayne (knee) not having much time left on the field.

Colts | Reggie Wayne ahead of schedule, expects to be cleared

Tue, 08 Apr 2014 16:33:11 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (knee) is expected to be cleared for football activities April 25 after he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee in Week 7 last season. "I feel good, I'm ahead of schedule," Wayne said. "I'm at the point where I'm tired of doing the same rehab stuff, to be honest with you. I'm excited to get back to football activities. I feel good." Wayne wants to participate in the team's minicamp, but he'll be held out as a precaution.

Fantasy Tip: Wayne will be heading into his age-36 season. At that age and coming off a serious knee injury, you'd expect Wayne's production to drop considerably, especially with Hakeem Nicks and T.Y. Hilton around to take catches away from him. Wayne's days of serving as a WR1 or 2 are over.

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said WR Reggie Wayne (knee) is making progress in his rehab from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and should be ready to participate no later than training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should monitor his rehab during the offseason to see if he suffers any setback. He should be a starting fantasy wide receiver next season if he is healthy.

Mon, 13 Jan 2014 14:41:38 -0800

Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (knee) said his surgically repaired knee feels good and that he expects to play next season at the level he did before he suffered the injury.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will have to see how Wayne recovers from his torn anterior cruciate ligament before determining his fantasy value for next season. If healthy, Wayne probably could be considered a No. 2 wide receiver.

Colts | Coby Fleener expected to step up

Fri, 01 Nov 2013 20:16:21 -0700

One NFL personnel executive said Friday, Nov. 1, that he "would expect a heightened feature (role) of (TE Coby Fleener)" with WR Reggie Wayne (knee) out for the season.

Fantasy Tip: Fleener is still only considered a Top 20 fantasy option at his position until he steps up and does a little more. The Colts will be facing the No. 1 defense of the Houston Texans in Week 9, so it will be a tall order for Fleener to step up his production Sunday.

One NFL personnel executive said Friday, Nov. 1, that he expects WR T.Y. Hilton to take on a "front line, prominent role" following the loss of WR Reggie Wayne (knee).

Fantasy Tip: Hilton should still be considered more of a WR3/4 fantasy option heading into Week 9, especially since the Houston Texans rank first in the NFL in defense.

Colts | No. 3 WR job up for grabs

Mon, 28 Oct 2013 19:37:45 -0700

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano is uncertain who will step up as the team's No. 3 wide receiver behind WRs Darrius Heyward-Bey and T.Y. Hilton with WR Reggie Wayne (knee) done for the season. WRs LaVon Brazill and Griff Whalen are expected to battle for the job.

Fantasy Tip: The winner of the No. 3 battle is still not a recommended fantasy option at this point. Brazill has speed to burn, and seems like he should be the favorite, but unless Heyward-Bey or Hilton also go down, don't waste the roster spot.

Colts | Darrius Heyward-Bey gets chance to be No. 1

Mon, 28 Oct 2013 19:15:22 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR Darrius Heyward-Bey is expected to step up and produce, as he is technically the team's No. 1 wide receiver following the season-ending injury to WR Reggie Wayne (knee).

Fantasy Tip: Heyward-Bey has managed just 18 catches for 190 yards so far this season, and despite his projected spot on the team's depth chart following the Wayne injury, he should still be viewed as nothing more than a WR3/4 or flex fantasy play in most leagues.
