The Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo reports that the Boston Red Sox do not appear interested in signing free-agent SP Noah Lowry (Giants), even though they went to watch his workout. Cafardo adds that it is likely that the team is through with spring training invitations.

Paul Hagen, of The Philadelphia Daily News, reports Philadelphia Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. confirmed the Phillies plan to watch SP Noah Lowry, who hasn't pitched since 2007 because of a series of arm injuries, when he auditions for scouts in Arizona. Amaro characterized the team's interest as "moderate."

The Associated Press reports free-agent SP Noah Lowry (shoulder) pushed back his scheduled throwing session Tuesday, Feb. 2, for interested major league teams. Damon Lapa, Lowry's agent, said Lowry did not suffer a setback but has decided to throw a few more bullpen sessions before being evaluated.
