John Oehser, of Colts.com, reports Indianapolis Colts QB Cory Sauter is excited for his opportunity to receive extensive playing time behind QB Peyton Manning throughout the preseason this year. "These next four games are very, very important to me, but it starts out with No. 1," Sauter said. "It's important for me. John Oehser, of Colts.com, reports Indianapolis Colts QB Cory Sauter has been promoted to the No. 2 quarterback spot behind starting QB Peyton Manning this offseason. "I've never really had this opportunity before. It's definitely a big step for me," Sauter said. Head coach Tony Dungy is confident in Sauter's abilities. "Cory knows the system, which is a big thing in this offense," Dungy said. "No matter if you draft a guy No. 1 or get a veteran coming in, the thing you have to do is learn everything that goes with it. He knows what we're doing. He's throwing the ball well and has a familiarity with our receivers."

John Oehser, of Colts.com, reports Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy said the team is not concerned about their depth at quarterback, which includes QBs Peyton Manning, Cory Sauter, Jim Sorgi and Tom Arth. "If we go into training camp with these four, we'll be fine," Dungy said. However, Dungy did leave open the possibility of adding a veteran in the future. "It would be nice to have one more veteran guy," the Colts coach said. "I don't know that that's going to happen."
