"This is going to be a work in progress for everybody," McCoy said. "Coaches, players, everybody within the organization, with how we're going to do things, the types of things we're going to change, but there are plenty of things that we've done in the past here that we want to give Peyton the opportunity to see. He is very flexible. He wants some new ideas and to run some new things. We've spent some time in the last couple of weeks explaining the things as an offensive staff we really like and things we can help him with."

Decker added he hasn't seen anything in workouts that would lead him to believe Manning's arm strength has decreased due to four procedures on his neck. "The guy's still throwing the ball a long time, throwing it great, hitting you in the right spot," Decker said. "He's such a perfectionist. If he hits you in the belly button, he gets mad at himself for not hitting you in the chest. It's unbelievable to be around a guy who has those standards for himself."

Manning said his work with Decker is not only helping the new teammates establish a connection but will mean wins when the season starts. "You don't feel it necessarily right now, but you know that it's going to pay dividends for you in the fall..." Manning said. "And you say, you know, 'We worked on that back in April and May, and that time we put in was worth it because it came on a critical third-down conversion or a touchdown pass.'"

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning (neck) still has a ways to go before he is back at 100 percent health. "I have some strength that I have to get back," Manning told reporters Tuesday, March 20. In a little more than a year, Manning has undergone four neck surgeries. "I have a lot of work to do. I'm not where I need to be," he said.

Three separate doctors from three separate medical teams have all told Manning that he will completely recover. During the short term, Manning has said his most important coaches in Denver will be the team's training coaches, including strength-and-conditioning coach Luke Richesson and trainer Steve "Greek" Antonopulos. Antonopulos plans to consult with the Colts' trainers, compare notes and determine the best way to treat Manning's nerve and strength issues moving forward.
