Orioles | Adam Jones starting in center field

Mon, 29 Jun 2015 12:37:14 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones (shoulder) is starting in center field and batting third against Texas Rangers SP Wandy Rodriguez Monday, June 29.

Fantasy Tip: Jones ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) returned for Game 1 of the doubleheader Sunday, June 28, but sat out the night cap. He has the handedness advantage against Rodriguez, but might not be the safest FantasyScore option given the nature of his injury. View Jones as a high-risk, high-reward play Monday.

Orioles | Adam Jones hitless in return

Sun, 28 Jun 2015 18:54:02 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones (shoulder) went hitless in four at-bats in a 4-0 win over the Cleveland Indians Sunday, June 28, in his first game since June 20.

Fantasy Tip: Jones ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) numbers are trending down a bit, and given his price tag, he needs to be avoided at FantasyScore until he proves his shoulder injury isn't impacting his swing.

Orioles | Adam Jones avoids DL for now

Fri, 26 Jun 2015 13:32:34 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones (shoulder), who isn't in the starting lineup again Friday, June 26, will not go on the disabled list unless his shoulder is sore from throwing Saturday, June 27.

Fantasy Tip: Make plans now in case Jones ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) lands on the DL this weekend. David Lough ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) continues to play center field with Jones out, and he's batting ninth against Cleveland Indians starter Corey Kluber Friday night. Avoid Lough everywhere in daily games.

Orioles | Adam Jones out again

Thu, 25 Jun 2015 08:18:23 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones (shoulder) is out of the lineup Thursday, June 25, with OF Nolan Reimold in his third spot in the order.

Fantasy Tip: Reimold ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) faces off against lefty Eduardo Rodriguez. He hasn't done a lot to jump out of your seat with a .259-2-5 line in 27 at-bats this month, but in this matchup, he's worth the basement flyer on FantasyScore.

Orioles | Adam Jones out again Wednesday

Wed, 24 Jun 2015 12:43:49 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones (shoulder) is once again out of the starting lineup Wednesday, June 24. OF David Lough is starting in center field again and is hitting ninth against Boston Red Sox SP Clay Buchholz.

Fantasy Tip: Jones looks like a candidate to land on the DL if he doesn't improve soon. Make plans accordingly in traditional leagues. Lough ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has two home runs and nine RBI in his last 24 at-bats, but he's hitting only .221 (17-for-77) against right-handed pitchers this season. Despite his hot patch recently, Lough remains a low-end outfield play on FantasyScore.

Orioles | Adam Jones a DL candidate?

Tue, 23 Jun 2015 16:30:09 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones (shoulder) missed his fifth game in the last seven contests Tuesday, June 23, but he doesn't think he'll need to go on the disabled list, although he continues to experience right shoulder soreness after hurting himself on a dive June 15. Jones is now unlikely to return to the lineup until Friday, June 26, at the earliest. He hasn't missed more than three games in a row since sitting five straight in September of 2010.

Fantasy Tip: It's looking increasingly likely that Jones ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) will require a trip to the DL. Plan accordingly if you own him in traditional leagues. David Lough ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is replacing him in the lineup Tuesday, and Nolan Reimold ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) could see additional starts if Jones is sidelined for longer. Neither Lough nor Reimold should be considered attractive FantasyScore options unless they fall into a cushy matchup.

Orioles | Adam Jones remains out

Tue, 23 Jun 2015 13:17:13 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones (shoulder) is out of the lineup for the fifth time in seven games Tuesday, June 23, in favor of OF David Lough.

Fantasy Tip: Jones has been dealing with a sore right shoulder, and his availability is becoming more of a concern. Jones might be in jeopardy of landing on the disabled list soon. Lough ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is hitting ninth against Joe Kelly. It's not a bad matchup, but his .222-3-9 line on the season isn't much to punch his FantasyScore ticket for.

Orioles | Adam Jones on the bench

Sun, 21 Jun 2015 08:28:37 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones (shoulder) is not in the starting lineup against Toronto Blue Jays SP Scott Copeland Sunday, June 21. OF David Lough will start in center field and is batting ninth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: It is not known if Jones ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) is receiving a day off or his shoulder is bothering him, so owners should look for a possible update. Lough ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has three hits and five RBI over his last five games but is hitting .224 this season and may not be a great option on FantasyScore.

Orioles | Adam Jones will be designated hitter

Sat, 20 Jun 2015 08:13:11 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones (shoulder) will serve as the designated hitter against Toronto Blue Jays SP Mark Buehrle Saturday, June 20, and is batting third. OF Jimmy Paredes is not in the starting lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Jones ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) will be the designated hitter for the second straight game since returning from his shoulder injury. He went 1-for-3 with two RBI in his last game and is hitting .293 this month. Owners on FantasyScore could consider using Jones even though he comes with some risk.

Orioles | Adam Jones drives in two in return

Fri, 19 Jun 2015 20:14:55 -0700

Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones (shoulder) returned from a three-game absence and finished 1-for-3 with two RBI and a walk in a 5-4 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays Friday, June 19.

Fantasy Tip: Jones ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) has slowed down after a scorching start, and he is a bit overpriced at FantasyScore right now.
