Colts.com reports the Indianapolis Colts have placed OL Tim Ridder and WR Troy Albea on injured reserve.

As an update to a previous story, the Indianapolis Star reports Indianapolis Colts OL Tim Ridder will miss the 2001 season after suffering a knee injury (ACL) during a practice last week against the Titans. WR Troy Albea sustained damage to the MCL in his left knee, but the team will wait to determine his status. WR E.G. Green (calf), RB Kevin McDougal (quadriceps), G Larry Moore (knee), OL Waverly Jackson (knee) and Josh Gentry (illness) all missed practice on Monday. OL Ben Gilbert was not at practice either as he had his hip examined.

The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts OL Tim Ridder apparently tore a knee ligament during practice on Friday. He hurt his knee in the morning practice and had to be assisted off the field. The Colts took him for a MRI exam in the afternoon. Coach Jim Mora said Ridder is expected to miss considerable time, if not the whole season.

According to their official site, the Indianapolis Colts have signed the following free agents: WR Drew Haddad, QB Roderick Robinson, DB Nicholas Harper, OL Tim Ridder, DE Ike Reid, WR Brad Freeman, OL Tom Moriera, DB Derek Fox, OL John Merandi and LB Josh Gentry.
