Dodgers | Adrian Gonzalez added to lineup

Sat, 25 Jul 2015 15:06:37 -0700

Updating an immediate report, Los Angeles Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez (neck) was a late addition to the lineup Saturday, July 25.

Fantasy Tip: A-Gone ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) battled neck stiffness the last two nights and has to deal with Matt Harvey tonight. He's not a real good start on FantasyScore today.

Dodgers | Adrian Gonzalez update

Sat, 25 Jul 2015 14:59:05 -0700

Updating an earlier report, Los Angeles Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez (neck) is out of the lineup Saturday, July 25, with a stiff neck. There is a chance he is a late addition if batting practice goes well.

Fantasy Tip: A-Gone ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) would face Matt Harvey, so it's not a fruitful matchup even if he is added to the lineup. Avoid him on FantasyScore today.

Dodgers | Adrian Gonzalez out again

Sat, 25 Jul 2015 14:41:29 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez is out of the lineup for the second straight day Saturday, July 25, with OF Andre Ethier moving up to hit cleanup.

Fantasy Tip: Ethier ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) is hitting .342 this month and is an excellent play on FantasyScore even against Matt Harvey. As for A-Gone, there is no word yet about an injury. Stay tuned after the game to see if something is disclosed.

Dodgers | Adrian Gonzalez resting vs. Mets

Fri, 24 Jul 2015 12:39:44 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez is not in the starting lineup Friday, July 24. OF Scott Van Slyke is filling in at first base and batting fourth against New York Mets SP Jon Niese Friday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Gonzalez ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) in all fantasy formats Friday. He has been hot since the All-Star break with five runs, three home runs, five RBI and 1.338 OPS over seven games. Van Slyke ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) is 10-for-37 with a .946 OPS against southpaws this season, so he is worth considering as a low-priced flier for FantasyScore contests Friday.

Dodgers | Adrian Gonzalez making hits count

Sun, 12 Jul 2015 20:40:41 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez only has seven hits over his last 10 games, but five of those hits have been home runs.

Fantasy Tip: Gonzalez ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) is hitting just .200 over the stretch, but in addition to the five homers, he has seven RBI and eight runs scored. He is still hitting .283 even after the rough patch, and Gonzalez should continue to be one of the best first baseman available at FantasyScore in the second half of the year.

Dodgers | Adrian Gonzalez starting vs. Philly

Mon, 06 Jul 2015 15:23:56 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez (hand) is batting fourth against Philadelphia Phillies SP Sean O'Sullivan Monday, July 6.

Fantasy Tip: Gonzalez ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) left the game Sunday, July 5, after he was hit by a pitch on the hand. Against the Phillies, it is unlikely the Dodgers would start him if he wasn't 100%, so FantasyScore and seasonal players shouldn't fret over his health. Gonzalez remains and excellent play in all formats.

Dodgers | Adrian Gonzalez exits

Mon, 06 Jul 2015 05:47:37 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez (hand) left the game after he was hit on the hand by a pitch Sunday, July 5.

Fantasy Tip: A-Gone ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) will probably have X-rays taken and may miss a day or two if all checks out. Keep an eye out for updates. Alex Guerrero ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) should fill in and flashed some power early this season. He's a possible plug-and-play option on FantasyScore.

Dodgers | No Adrian Gonzalez Wednesday

Wed, 01 Jul 2015 15:34:09 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez is not in the lineup against Arizona Diamondbacks left-handed SP Robbie Ray Wednesday, July 1. OF Scott Van Slyke is starting at first base and hitting fifth.

Fantasy Tip: Van Slyke ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) had only four hits in 18 at-bats in June as a bench option for LA, but he is hitting .300 (9-for-30) with two of his four home runs against southpaws this year. He's not a bad pick on FantasyScore tonight as a value play hitting in the heart of the Dodgers order.

Dodgers | Adrian Gonzalez sitting against lefty

Thu, 25 Jun 2015 08:57:11 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez is out of the lineup Thursday, June 25, against left-handed Chicago Cubs SP Jon Lester. OF Alex Guerrero has taken his spot in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Guerrero ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) is hitting .195 with eight RBI this month and doesn't have a real big boost against lefties. We're passing on FantasyScore.

Dodgers | Adrian Gonzalez will be DH

Mon, 15 Jun 2015 15:40:28 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez will serve as the designated hitter against Texas Rangers SP Yovani Gallardo Monday, June 15, and is batting third in the starting lineup. 3B Justin Turner will start at first base and is batting fifth.

Fantasy Tip: Gonzalez ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) has been one of the better hitters in fantasy this season and should be a starting option on FantasyScore. Turner ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) is hitting .351 with five RBI this month and could be a cheaper option for owners.
