Thompson was injured Friday, Aug. 15 while covering a punt early in the second quarter of Indianapolis' 21-7 preseason win over the Seattle Seahawks.

According to Mike Chappell, of the Indianapolis Star, Indianapolis Colts linebacker Donnel Thompson is now working at fullback. "I really don't want the ball," Thompson said. "This is just a chance to get out there and make some plays on the offensive side of the ball." Thompson has been one of the team's better special teams players the past two seasons.
