Updating a previous report, San Diego Padres OF Carlos Quentin (shoulder) might be headed for the 15-day disabled list due to his shoulder injury. He was scratched from the lineup Sunday, June 16.
Fantasy Tip: Quentin has a propensity for injury, and while a DL trip isn't official yet, it would not be shocking given his history. Fantasy owners should play it safe and reserve him immediately. Alexi Amarista, Chris Denorfia and Mark Kotsay might be in line for more at-bats, with Everth Cabrera also hurting and potentially joining Quentin on the DL.

San Diego Padres OF Carlos Quentin (knee) received an injection in his left knee after an awkward slide Tuesday, May 21, and he is out Wednesday, May 22. However, he should return this weekend in Arizona.
Fantasy Tip: Quentin's knees have been a chronic problem throughout his career. Along with a putrid batting average and long periods of no production the injuries don't help one bit. Quentin can provide you with nice power numbers if he's playing consistently, but at what cost? Those in very deep mixed leagues can consider it if they can take on that kind of baggage.
